Brazilian Olympic premiere is in the offing...
According to the regulations of the team qualification on the upcoming Sunday, today the women's podium training took place in Athens' Olympic Hall.
For the first time in history a Brazilian women's team qualified for Olympic Games, after 12 years North Korea is present again for the third time since 1980, and Germany is again represented by two individual gymnasts for the first time since 1996...

Along the lines of the schedule of the men's first preliminary competitions, which form the beginning of the Olympic gymnastics competitions on Saturday, the offical podium training took place divided in three groups on Wednesday.
At 12.30 h France, Romania, Italy and Canada started, at 16.30 h Russia, Spain and USA followed and in the evening group at 20.30 h Korea, Germany, Japan and World Champion China performed for the first time on the Olympic podium in the competition hall ....

First World Cup in Belgium!
At the kick-off press conference the organizers of the first World Cup Artistic Gymnastics in Belgium announced the countries that have already signed up. With provisional entries of over 25 countries amongst which the absolute top countries as Russia, Romania, USA, Brazil, Australia, Germany, China, Ukraine and Japan this World Cup will certainly be one of the biggest!

Team favorite China in top form
Despite a long-lasting journey and jet lag, the men of the Team World Champion China make an excellent impression.
Especially the winner of the silver medal in Sydney and Vice-World Champion of Anaheim YANG, Wei presented his routines on the highest technical level. Both he and his compatriot and World Champion on pommel horse Li, Xiaopeng completed their programmes without any stability problems.....

Vice European All-around Champion Rafael Martinez is one of the new big hopes of the Spanish men's national team in Athens now.
