From 23rd until 26 October take place in the Messestadion (fair stadium) of Dornbirn/Austria the 5th 'TeamGym', better confessed than European Championships in team gymnastics. Organizer in this year is the Austrian gymnastics federation (ÖFT). About 800 gymnast out of 14 countries participate with 47 teams in this attractive competition. All the gymnasts present a practice in Mini tramp, jumped on Tumbling course and shown similar Ground performance. It gives the three categories 'Women', 'Men' and 'Mixed-Teams'.

Russian veteran Alexei Nemov told the China Daily that he will decide whether to end his gymnastics career after the sport's new judging rules come out.
The 28-year-old athlete told, that he would discuss with his coach after studying the new code of points, which should have been developed but delayed as gymnastics officials proposed to redraft it.

Grigori Misiutin (UKR), Olympic Champion from 1992 and recently head coach of the Ukrainian junior team which won the bronze medal at the European Championships in Ljubljana this year, wants to move to Saarland/ Germany.
The main reason for this is that his wife Yevgenia recently has obtained German citizenship. Her parents have been living in the city Saarbrücken for a couple of years already....

From September 18 on the T.J. Maxx Tour of Gymnastics Champions is on tour across the USA, featuring members of the 2004 U. S. Olympic Team. The high-flying T.J. 2 weeks before the F.I.G.- World- Congress:
With an internal information document to the member federations Bruno Grandi has started a new stage on the FIG's way to new international judging regulations in artistic gymnastics:
In the document are listed the principles which according to him are required for the new 'Code de Pointage'. The FIG- World Congress will now take care of this issue at the end of October in Antalya (TUR)...
