OPENING CEREMONY / Eröffungsveranstaltung

Opening Ceremony: " W A T E R - A I R - E A R T H - F I R E " (> German/deutsch)

- The gathering of the participants at the Birkenwiese Stadium starts at 15:00 h.
- All gymnasts should arrive at 15:30 h at the very latest at the marked places.
- The marching in as such begins at 16:15 h.
- All groups march in wearing their nation’s colours and position themselves on the pitch of the Birkenwiese Stadium which has been extended to a capacity of 30,000 spectators
(standing tribunes).
After the official welcome speeches and the hoisting of the FIG, the World Gymnaestrada
and the Austrian flags, approximately 2,000 gymnasts from the whole region of the Lake of Constance will present a 40-minute show related to the theme of the World Gymnaestrada 2007 – the four elements Water, Air, Earth, Fire.
This choreography is from Christiana Rosenberg-Ahlhaus from Germany, in cooperation with Douglas Comley from Great Britain.
After the Opening Ceremony, at 20:30 h the mayors of the related towns and villages will greet the guests in their National Villages with the motto Welcome to the Village. The hosts look forward to welcoming all participants!

Eröffnungsveranstaltung: WASSER - LUFT - ERDE - FEUER

- Um 15:00 Uhr beginnt die Sammlung der Teilnehmer im Stadion Birkenwiese.
- Bis spätestens 15:30 Uhr sollen sich die Aktiven an den markierten Plätzen einfinden.
- Der Einmarsch selbst beginnt um 16:15 Uhr.
- Alle Gruppen marschieren in den Farben ihrer jeweiligen Nation ein und stellen sich auf dem Rasen des Dornbirner Stadions auf, das auf ein Fassungsvermögen von 30.000 Besucherplätzen (Stehplatztribünen) erweitert wurde.

Nach den offiziellen Begrüßungsreden und dem Hissen der FIG-, der Weltgymnaestrada und der Österreich-Fahnen zeigen rund 2000 Aktive aus dem gesamten Bodenseeraum eine 40-minütige Show zum Thema der Weltgymnaestrada 2007 – die vier Elemente Wasser, Luft, Erde, Feuer.
Die Choreographie hierfür stammt von der Deutschen Christiana Rosenberg-Ahlhaus in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Briten Douglas Comley.
Anschließend an die Eröffnungsveranstaltung findet ab 20:30 Uhr in den einzelnen Nationendörfern die Begrüßung durch den Bürgermeister der jeweiligen Stadt/Gemeinde frei nach dem Motto Welcome to the Village statt.
Die Gastgeber freuen sich, alle Teilnehmer erstmals in ihrem Nationendorf begrüßen zu dürfen!
