Yes, you are right that only 4 gymnasts competed in the top
level,
but that is because only the
senior national team competes in the "honour category".
There are three categories for
seniors:
- Honour (as mentioned)
- First rate (with those who ranked in the top 3 in junior and senior
last year, but aren't considered for the honour category)
- Juvenil (the rest of the oldest gymnasts) Those who aren't
qualified for honour or first rate, are divided in levels by
age, not exactly like in international competitions.
- Juvenil - above 15
- Junior - 14-15 years old
- Infantil - 12-13 years old
- Alevin - 9-11 years old |
