to conduct an unofficial competition (4 Gymnasts) with a team from the

"7thValery Jiukin Invitational" was won by Jason
Gatson (USA/55,35) last weekend at the World Olympic
Gymnastics Academy in Plano, near Dallas (Texas). On second place came Yernar Yerimbetov from Kazachstan (54,125), third was Denis Zbitskiys (LAT/54,050), also winner on pommel horse. The Austrian Thomas Zimmerman came on second place on this apparatus. The competition is named in honor of legendary World and Olympic champion Valery Liukin, who was the first gymnast with a triple sault on floor in 1987. |

Amerikaner Jason Gatson gewann am
Wochenende in Plano bei Dallas den "Ljukin-Invitational" -
einen Einladungswettbewerb, der in diesem Jahr mit Startern aus
neun Nationen außergewöhnlich gut besetzt war. Mit 55,35 Punkten
verwies er Jernar Jerimbetow aus
Kasachstan (54.125) und Denis Zbitskiys aus
Lettland (54.050) auf die Plätze. Zbitsikis gewann das Pauschenpferd vor dem Österreicher Thomas Zimmermann. Der Wettbewerb ist benannt nach dem in den USA lebenden Olympiasieger Waleri Ljukin, der 1987 als erster Mensch der Welt den dreifachen Salto kreierte |

team of the vice European champion Switzerland
(250,65). Host Germany came on second place (246,70), the French team
scored on third (243,95) and the team of Great Britain came on fourth
(239,6). Best in all-around were Dennis Mannhardt (51,05) and Roland Haeuptli (50,90) from Switzerland. Third was Yann Rayepin (FRA/50,45). "DTB-Pokal" tournament is the host for this last event of
the World Cup Series in artistic gymnastics (women and men) and rhythmic
gymnastics. Marius Urzica was the winner on pommel horse. On parallel bars won LI, Xiaopeng. After 1994 the Slovanian Aljaz Pegan won again on high bar to the second time in Stuttgart. On vault won Olympic champion Elena Zamolodchikova successively to the fouth time in Stuttgart, together with Oksana Chusovitina , best on beam was the Chinese SUN, Xiaojiao. The winners of the first day: Lu, Bin (CHN) on vault, Marian Dragulescu (ROM / floor); Jordan Jovtchev BUL /rings): Oana Petrovski (ROM / uneven bars)and Verona van de Leur (NED / floor).

southern of Germany, in Ulm, took place the final of the German team
championship 2002. Winner was the "Turn Team TOYOTA Cologne" (136,80), behind them came TuG Chemnitz- Altendorf from Saxonia on second place (132,60) and the bronze medal was won by the Saxonian team of TuG Leipzig (129,40). Best in all-around was the Uzbekian Oksana Chusovitina, who started for the Cologne team, with a score of 36,45 points. Katja Abel from Berlin came on second with 35,95 and Darija Bijak was third with 35,60 points.
