The Czech women's team won a friendly meet on Saturday versus the host team of Austria (95,875) and the Slovakian gym team (70,60).
Czech got a score of 100,60 and also its Jana Sikulova (34,150) was the best gymnast in all-around. On second place came the Austrian Carina Hasenoehrl (33,775) and on third Katarina Maresova (33,250).

A men's competition was held this weekend in Leipzig (Germany) between the host, Switzerland and France...

The “Pre-Olympic competitions” took place in the Olympic city Athens from March 17th – 24th. Today, the last competition was the individuall all around final in Rhythmic Gymnastics.
Irina Tchachina (RUS/107.925) was the best of Pre-Olympics in front of Alina Kabaeva (RUS/106.450) and Anna Bessonova (UKR/104.650).
Yesterday Russia had won the pre-olympic group competition. Belarus became 2nd, Italy was on 3rd place.

The Royal Dutch Gymnastics Federation KNGU pronounced, that the long time member of the Dutch national team, Gabriëlla Wammes declared her withdraw from the top sport.

Wammes said, that medical problems are the reason for withdraw. She was one of the top gymnast of the last two years in the Dutch national team, participating at the world champs 2001 in Gent, and member of the European silver team in Patras 2002.

Cetate Online Service pronounced, that Verona van de Leur (NED) will not be going to the Olympic Games in Athens (GRE) this summer.
Van de Leur (18), who has been dealing with an ankle injury for over a year now, does not feel fit enough to take part in the competition against Spain this weekend.
