It was not aneasy task for the Grand Prix Committee of the European Circuit to built the event calendar for the 2011 serie, because the Pre-Olympic year is full of top competitions already:
Continental and world championships, the Summer Universiade, the AEON Cup but also altogether 10 (!!) world cups between January to September...! ..

Today the apparatus finals of the 10th Berlin Masters and Grand-Prix Final take place in the Max-Schmeling-Hall at the German capital city.
Beside the 10th anniversary of this competition, it’s also the final of the Grand-Prix-Series 2010 and for most of the gymnasts, especially those who won’t compete at the Asian Games in two weeks, it’s the last big event of the year.
Yesterday’s all-around was dominated by the Russian gymnasts and also at today’s finals they were the dominating nation...

Like during the past two years, also this year the Grand Prix “Berlin Masters 2010” at the Max-Schmeling-Hall in Berlin concludes the actual Grand Prix-Series.
It’s also the 10th anniversary of this tournament in the Max-Schmeling-Hall and there will all Russian top-stars of rhythmic gymnastics, with Evgenia Kanaeva, the leader of all Grand-Prix-categories, Olympic Champion and current World Champion, but also the whole international elite will be present at this Grand-Prix-final...

The Grand Prix in the Czech city of Brno is part of the annual Grand Prix Series sinc a couple of years.
This year it will be of special interest as it is the first event after the World Championships and might be a chance for a revenge between the stars and the ones who came home from Moscow without medals.
World Champion Evgenia Kanaeva (RUS) won three of four finals today, Daria Dmitrieva won the ribbon final and so all the gold and silver medals went to Russia - the maximum!
Three times on bronze rank stood Aliya Garaeva from Azerbaidjan and missed only the medal with ball. Ball bronze went to Ulyana Trofimova from Uzbekistan and left the Azeri gymnast on fourth place. ..

04-Sep-2010Holon, Israel (6) Grand Prix in Holon Four Times Russian Double Victory
* Only a few weeks before the World Championships in Rhythmic Gymnastics in Moscow from Septembr 19th to 26th, the 6th event of the grand prix season, Holon Grand Prix 2010, was the last test event before the most important meeting of the year.
But there were no real news in the scene: << Four times won Evgenia Kanaeva, four silver medals for Daria Dmitrieva, three times in front of Melitina Staniuta (BLR), who gave only one bronze medal to Irina Risenzon (Israel; ribbon).
Austria's Caroline Weber ranked 5 (ribbon) and 7 (hoop) .....

Evgenia Kanaeva (RUS) favorite for all the finals
* German News After the Saturday's Senior all-around also the final events on Sunday were completely dominated by the Russian gymnasts. Evgenia Kanaeva, unbeaten in the whole season at all Grand Prix or World Cup events where she participated, won with 115,800 points ahead of her teammates Daria Kondakova (114,825 points) and Daria Dimitrieva (112,150 points) but all of her three apparats finals. Teammate Daria Kondakova won the ball final.
A phantastic all-around eightth place went to Caroline Weber from Austrian hostand she reacht all the four finals too. Alexandra Merkulova from Russia won the all-around and all the four apparatus finals of the junior events on Sunday, so all the titles went to the leading nation Russia.....

Austria's twice Olympic host city Innsbruck is also very well known in gymnastics's world.
There the traditional "Attilar Pinter Memorial" is held and in the years 2002, 2003 and 2007 the ASVÖ already organised great GRAND PRIX-Finals in Innsbruck.
After having taken a time-out as a host in 2008 and 2009 the organisation team with their boss Petra Gabriella will with be ready for the 5th Grand Prix of the season 2010, the "Grand Prix of Austria".
Until now not only all the leading nations in rhythmic gymnastics like Russia, Belarus, Azerbaijan and Israel already confirmed their participation:
Gymnasts from 13 different nations, representing 3 continents and all the international top stars !! * At June 11 an international Press Conference will held in Innsbruck .....

German Version ... a crazy international and un-rhythmic world Calendar!
This weekend world´s rhythmic gymnastics elite is divided between Greece (worlc Cup) and France (Grand Prix). Here in Thiais, the competition had a good representation of the best gymnasts, with Evgeniya Kanaeva from Russia, the current Olympic champion as the top star. And she confirmed all the bets which pointed to her as the favorite gymnast to win the gold medal. She did it without many problems, only with some troubles in her first routine with ball, beating her teammate Dariya Dimitrieva, who got the silver medal with a consistent difference.
At the end all Grand Prix titles were won by Kanaeva and Russia .....
