The 2016 "Flanders International ACRO CUP" took place from February 11 to 13 in the Belgian city of Puurs. It was a competition for Age group athletes, Juniors, Juniors+ and Seniors (elite).

The non-Olympic discipline of Acrobatic Gymnastics of the Ist European Games 2015 in Baku will compete together with the Olympic rhythmic gymnastics.
→ In Acrobatics Gymnastics  51 athletes (9 mixed pairs and 11 women’s groups) will compete, from 17 to 21 June, at the National Gymnastics Arena
All the four 4 rhythmic apparatus pieces will be alternated in competition interspersed with Acrobatic women’s group in the first 2 rotations and mixed pairs in the last 2 rotations....

After the 2015 World Cup Events in Maia (POR) and Varna (BUL) took place the 3rd Acrobatic Gymmnastics World Cup in Switzerland:
To the very first time the traditional 14th anniversary of "Intern. Acro Cup" of Geneva was organized as an official F.I.G. World Cup competition.

The athletes of China were the most successfull delegation, winning women's pair, but also both both group categories, men's and women's.
Russia's pair and USA mixed pair are the other winners of...

* f i g - report-: In a first for the International Gymnastics Federation (F.I.G.), this past weekend's World Cup competitions in Acrobatic & Artistic Gymnastics in Varna (BUL) were held concurrently in the same arena, with Saturday and Sunday's finals showcasing first one discipline, then the other.
The idea of combining the disciplines on the World Cup level has not been tried until now and the Varna World Cup represents a first for both disciplines.
