For the first time in the history of trampoline world championships, China closes these 26. world title competitions also as the winner in the nation ranking and stands with 6 Gold medals right at the top as most successful nation, ahead of Russia with 5 successes (but with 12 medals). Only Portugal (2) and Japan also signed themselves into the winner listing.
The medals went, in total, to athletes from 11 nations. For the second time after 2007, German sportspeople return from a world championship without any medals, since also on the final day, the only German finals pait (synchro, men) did not come in reach of a medal... ..

Dong, Dong: Mr. Perfect!!
The top fight of the Olympics trampoline discipline of the men was an aesthetic joy and one of the sports highlights of these championships: each with identical degrees of difficulty of 16.6 the ex-vice world champion DONG Dong beat his country man and Olympic winner LU Chunlong wih 42,900 to 42,300 points and is therewith world champion for the first time. Again the Bronze medal goes to the Japanese world championship third from Quebec 2007, to Yasuhiro UEYAMA, and also on fourth position is an asian gymnast - Masaki ITO .
For the first time in the world championship history did the Chinese not also win in the synchro category but got the title: LI Dan and ZHONG Xingping and beat the Canadian title holders Karen Cockburn / Rosannagh McLaren with silver. Bronze wen to Usbekistan for the first time, to Anna Sawkina and Jekaterina Chilko .....

This Friday morning in the winterly St.Peterburg belonged to the 26th trampoline world championships of the synchro couples on the trampoline.
Again the Japanese title holders Tetsuya Sotomura / Yasuhiro Ueyama set, as expected, the first signs of a lead, but at last also some light at the end of the tunnel from the German point of viewa.
With the same pre-competition points of 89,800, at eyelevel with the champs, the team Markus Kubicka and Karsten Kuritz on second place and therewith in the final, ahead of China with Dong, Dong and Tu, Xiao, who had problems with the first excersise, but marked the highest points in the second round and are surely the first title candidates ...

On the second competition day, the first decisions of the 26th trampoline world championships were made on Thursday evenin in the St.Petersburg sports and culture complex.
In the trampoline team competitions Chinas men and women both were at the top of the league. The Olympics winner HE, Wenna achieved the best result with 39,500 points.
With each 6,7 points advantage, they forced their competition on to their positions.
In the womens Russia won silver ahead of Canada, in the mens Belarus foreced themselves upon the hosts on in position.
Here the Olympic third DONG, Dong was the best of the day with 43,000 points.
Germany could not qualify with both teams for the team finals...

From 11 a.m local time until about 5 p.m today the women and men of the tumbling and minitrampoline disciplines are in action in the sports and congress complex of St. Petersburg.
Especially the tumbling scene will surely be besonders die Tumblingszene wird wohl sicher von den russischen Gastgebern, allen voran von den beiden Titelverteidigern Anna Karabeynikova und von Andrei Krylov bestimmt werden.
From 7p.m. onwards, the team finals will begin with the best womens and mens trampoline teams, without German accompaniment and surely with the dominance of China, Russia, Japan and Canada.....

Swiss flag in German hands ...
After a colourful, half an hour long opening programm, with elements of Russian folklore, in which even a lively "Russian" bear was integrated, the President of the gymnastics world federation opened the 26th world championships of the trampoline gymnasts in St. Petersburg.
Since the Swiss athletes were only drawn in the second group, they asked their German colleagues Kathrin Deuner (Cappel) and Laszlo Pobloth (Frankfurt) to represent the Swiss flag during the flag march.
Then the expansive qualifications began.....

Though Kurt Hack handed over the management of Eurotramp, the enterprise he founded in 1960 to his grandson a couple of years ago, he remained actively involved in the business until his death...

The signs of the World Championship Russia are looking good, because since the turn of the millenium, the Russians have been at the top where the gold is in terms of trampoline competitions. At a minimum 4 x Gold (Hannover 2003), at a maximum 8x and most recentlz in 2007 in Quebec 7 times the noblest metal has been the statement of the leading nationl of this discipline. Especially China has pushed itself to the second national position, during the last two title competitions, with three / four wins and also pointed in the last competitions of the world cup series, however only on the trampoline apparati, while Russia pointed in all disciplines......
