Da
schafften es die Briten in der letzten der 6
Qualifikationsgruppen des ersten Tages doch noch, sich an den auf
Rang 6 liegenden Deutschen vorbeizuturnen. Pech
insofern für den Gastgeber, weil er damit als zwar
bester Verlierer des ersten Tages auf den siebenten
Platz rutschte, und dieser Rang bedeutet laut
Auslosung, gegen die führenden Russen anzutreten.
Somit besteht für Deutschland wohl keine Chance am
Sonntag das Viertelfinale zu überstehen! Finland
wird 11., war aber äußerst kurzfristig für
Lettland eingesprungen. |

In the
last minute the Britains turned out to be better
than the Germans on position 6 in the last of the 6
qualification groups. That was bad luck for the
Germans, who are on the 7th place after the first
day, since they will have to compete with the
Russians, who are supposed
to win the tournament.
It
seems that the German team has no chance to win the
quarter final on Sunday.
