The
Főnix Hall, the biggest sport hall of the eastern region of Hungary is placed in Debrecen. It was inaugurated by Zsolt Erdei’s boxing-match. The first main event was the World Gymnastics Championships two years ago. The Főnix Hall is able to host 5-8 thousand people or with the arena as well 10 thousand , depending on the type of the events. The arena can be used as an icerink as well. |
| The IIHF World U18 Championship in Spring of 2004 and an ice-show had been organised here successfully. There are 1100 fixed and 2100 mobile seats on the first floor. There are further 1840 seats on the second floor. The VIP boxes for 250 guests are on the third floor. | |
