Germany won its first Europeans Team Gold ever!

For the first time ever the German gymnasts win the Gold medal at a Team-European Championship.
After Silver behind Russia two years ago, they won the Gold in Birmingham today with 266,150 points and a comfortable advantage over the host  Great Britain(263,025), who, in the last Team-European Championship didn't even reach the finals with the 9th place!

France
got the Bronze who in Lausanne 2008 were only in 5th position. In the absence of the title-holder Russia (- who didn't arrive in Birmíngham, also like Ukraine and Belarus) the Swiss were in 5th position behind Spain 4th - therewith both were good in front of Italy and Romania and Greece, who didn't show an upwards trend during this continental Champsionships ...

The historical first European team title for a German team also the first silver medal for the Brits
in front of Franch Equipe
