German Olympic Champion Klaus KÖSTE sends greetings from Hongkong

While the current stars of the international gymnastics scene are in the Olympic City of London,  a Chinese advertising agency organizes for a client in the mega city of Hong Kong a "public promotional event" on "capability of the body in advanced age" .
At first the "oldest active competitive gymnast in the world" Johanna Quaas, from Halle / Sa, was invited, but she couldn't be there because of a shoulder injury. Then the currently oldest German Gymnastics Olympic Champion (Munich 1972; vault) Klaus Köste (69 ; photo, left) took over the invitation.
After two life-threatening heart surgeries a half-decade ago, some months before his 70th birthday the agile German senior went back to the gym, and he is now presented as an ambassador of the German gymnastics team in the Asian megacity. This weekend he demonstrated impressively why...

Klaus KÖSTE - currently the oldest German Olympic Champion in artistic gymnastics
in a sense the 'DOYEN' German Gymnastics acted in Hong Kong actively and dynamically to the devices on which he was gradually and has brought back its performance according to age: properties that found here in China the greatest possible attention!

The Hong Kong event organizers brought with Klaus Köste more than a competent representative, he will become 70 in a few months and 40 years ago he became the Olympic champion in Munich (1972, vault).
A few years ago, he survived two life-threatening heart surgeries, but through his sport he regained life quality and physical condition!
Of course, the Senior athlete from Leipzig (GER) prepared his last practice test before his departure to Hong Kong!

<< Klaus KÖSTE, who comes back from Hongkong soon, didn't miss the chance to wish the German artistic gymnastics team good luck for the upcoming events:
"I cross my fingers especially for the 37-year old Oksana Chusovitina. I don't think the world understands completely what it means to be competing as a women for 25 years in the world elite and participate at her 6th Olympic Games. It's incredible! "

Still with nearly 70years of age, the Olympic champion from 1972 and winner of the Turnfest in 2002 Klaus Köste has so much power in 2012 that two volunteers had to fix the bars...

Auch die fitnessbewussten chinesischen Seniorinnen und Senioren waren vom Auftritt des deutschen Turn-Botschafters beeindruckt:
