The favorite situation is indeed uniquely determined by the Chinese, but by the laws and special features of this discipline, for example, precision al other world-class athletes have their medal chances.
<< With HE Wenna (photo, left) and LU Chunlong both Olympic gold medalists from Beijing will defend their leading position, because both are also the reigning world champions of Birmingham 2011! and the current world champion at the start.
Above average number of older and experienced athletes in the 12-year-old Olympic gymnastics history of this youngest discipline still providing top-class world, but not all have medal chances ...

On men's side even just four Olympic newcomers are in the process. 12 of the athletes have already started in Beijing, allowing it to re-encounter of the medal winners is:
LU, Chunlong, the Olympic champion, Jason Burnett, the Canadian silver medallist and Dong, Dong, also from China.
Both Chineses also won the last World Championships (Birmingham 2011) in front of the Japanese Masaki ITO.
From the last Olympic finals, only the now 31-year-old doctoral student Henrik Stehlik of Germany's left, who had qualified on the Olympic test competitions at the beginning of the Olympic year here in London. Eight years before he won bronze in Athens 2004 Olympics!
New in the trampoline regulations is, that the time factor - that the height of flying - to get a large share of the assessment, which was criticized by some athletes and coaches, too,
because the athletes had too little time to adapt in front of the games!!

16 LU Chunlong (CHN) - Olympic Champion 2008
On women's side first in any case, the multiple German champion, Anna Dogonadze (39 years old!) is not only the "oldest participant", as well as Olympic gold medalist from Athens 2004, the most successful of the field and one of two gymnasts who started 12 years ago in Sydney at the Olympic Games already!
Five of the Lonon starters are already relatively high performance age, i.m. over 30 years, which speaks for the great experience.
The other is Canada's long-running Karen COCKBURN (31). She won in Sydney bronze and two silver medals in Athens and Beijing too.
After the end of her career of the Russian trampoline legend Irina Karavaeva, have to fight now against the young generation, first of all the world-class Chineses!
Only Lyuba Golovina (GEO) and Irina Karavaeva (RUS) are missing from the Beijing Olympic finals four years ago. Youngest of the this year's 16'er field are the Japanese KISHI and the American VINSANT, each with 19 years of age.
Again, the situation clearly favorites among the Chinese, though they have in the two Canadians Karen COCKBURN and Rosannagh MACLENNAN serious rivals.
