The Russian Rhythmic Gymnastics School gave proof its dominating roll in the world of rhythmic gymnastics and won the world's titel of nations ranking.
Behind the golden Russians, but with a gigantic difference of nearly 20 (!) points in the Team competition, Belarus won silver and Azerbaijan the bronze medal.
In Mie, Russia and Belarus stood their ground at the top of the Team Competition ranking list after days 1–3, with Ukraine and Azerbaijan walking the Bronze fence for third.
During today’s competitions, Russia (282.175) and Belarus (262.825) confirmed their lead and slid into first and second ranks respectively. Azerbaijan were a length ahead of Ukraine (257.750) and placed third with a final score of 258.525.

DAY 4 : TEAM COMPETITION

A total of 33 countries participated in the 2009 team Competition, with a minimum of three and a maximum of four gymnasts per Team. Teams present twelve exercises each, three per apparatus, of which the best ten scores count for the Team ranking.
In history five nations only have made it to the World Championship podium in the Team Competition over the past twenty years: Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Azerbaijan and Bulgaria.
At last, two years ago in Patras (2007) Russia was the titlewinner( 183.050) in front of followed Belarus (168.775) and Azerbaijan in third (163.75).
