* Saturday, September 24, Park & Suite Arena Montpellier
* ALL-AROUND ( - from 5 pm. local time on)
>> Startlist, All-around & Olympic qualification
* Subdivision 1 (3 pm local time)
The best six groups of the all-around event in Montpellier qualify directly for the Olympic Games in London 2012 and the others have to compete at the Pre-Olympic event in January in London, too, to win one of the last four spots.
The Russian group didn´t perform as clean as expected, with some little mistakes in the mixed routine, as well as a drop with ball, which broke the formation and the gymnast had to run after it, thus loosing valuable points. The final scores, 27.600 and 27.250 points for a total of 54.850, were far away of the usual level of the Russian gymnasts, who however finished in the first position in group 1 with Italy still to come in group 2.
Bulgaria didn´t make big mistakes, but their routines do not contain so many risky elements as the Russian or Belarusian. However, they improved with their second routine, with the music of the “Phantom of the Opera” and got a total score of 54.125 points for an unexpected second place in the rotation.
Belarus performed a clean routine with balls, 27.525 points, enough to finish in the second place after the first rotation, very close to their Russian rivals. But they showed a very weak mixed routine, with two drops of a ribbon and several little mistakes more, which gave them only 25.325 and a total score of 52.850 points. Israel was extremely unlucky in their second routine with balls, they had two drops and one ball went out of the carpet. They scored only 25.025 points and with a total score of 51.700 they placed sixth in their group and are out of the direct Olympic spots, as only the best six groups of the all-around qualify directly for the Games
