The first three titles of the male apparatus finals went to three different nations:
On floor, the Vice-European all-around champion Flavius KOCZI, dominated the final. On pommel horse, dominated, as expected, the actual World Champion Krisztian BERKI from Hungary and in a brilliant rings final the two Russian gymnasts Konstantin PLUSCHNIKOW ahead of his teammate Alexander BALANDIN could celebrate a double victory.
All-around European champion Philipp Boy made a mistake at the triple twist in his floor exercise (8th), Sebastian Krimmer placed 5th on pommel horse and Thomas Taranu had problems with the dismount in his rings exercise...
On the last day of these European championships French gymnasts Thomas BOUHAIL won on vault, German all-around champion Marcel NGUYEN won his first continental title ever on parallel bars and in a very close decision, Vice-worldchampion Epke ZONDERLAND with the most difficult exercise won ahead of the two Germans Philipp BOY and Marcel Nguyen ...

Even without the injured Fabian Hambüchen and Matthias Fahrig, the German gymansts confirmed their top position in European gymnastics.
The team European champions from Birmingham 2010, also at these individual championships in Berlin, won two gold and one silver and one bronze medal ahead of Russia (1/1/2) and Romania (1/1/-).

* Impressive rings final. Both Russian gymnasts convinced with great combinations of balance and strenght elements, as well as great technique at handstands.
Rodrigues (FRA) again with interesting "Malteser", this incredible element backward between the rings.., but alltogether not enough for a better ranking.
... the experienced ones, Morandi, van Gelder are strong, but they have difficulties with the new generation of gymnasts!

** Even in Europe the European title can be only won with two jumps of 7.0 difficulties!
The World champion BOUHAIL, as well as AIT SAID and GOLTSUTSKOW did this, even the fifth ranked KOCZI, who unfortunately made a mistake at the second jump.
Interesting: With AIT SAID the French assured the double victory, and placed with this young gymnasts that was seen as a ring specialistinto the medal ranks at vault!

... most difficult exercise of the final, some minimal insecurities, convincing Tsukahara-dismount into secure stand - deserved the gold!!
Since the first European championships in 1956, since Helmut Bantz, Marcel NGUYEN is the new European champion at parallel bars!

... not so difficult, but the cleanest exise, highest B-score and beautiful Diomidow with 1 1/4-twist ...
3. TSOLAKIDIS, Vasileios (GRE) (6.0) 15,075
... exercise with great variety , a lot of elements over the upper arms, like Diomidow, Makuz ...
4. KUKSENKOV, Mykola (UKR) (6.2) = 15,025
... a pity that he had so many insecurities, not sufficient tension in the upper body, therefor the deductions ...
5. BENY, Pierre Yves (FRA) (6.0) = 14,950
6. KULESZA, Roman (POL) (6.0) = 14,850

... Cassina unclean, Kolman better, Adler 1/2 -twist followed by Gaylord II - extra swing and generally unclean... the Vice-Worldchampion lands the double-Tsukahara , but the 7.7-points (!!) in contents decide about the gold medal!!

... difficult situation beeing the first gymnast competing: all or nothing! But the Vice-Worldchampion performed like he were the last one ...!!!
... Cassina bit unclean, but good - Kolman ok, Adler again with little problems... , Markelow also with a mistake... small step after the dpuble-Tsukahara dismount; with 0,5 less in difficulty than Zonderland he had to perform completely clean!!
3. NGUYEN, Marcel (GER) (7.1) = 15,300
... giant swing with one arm... Adler 1/1 followed by Markelow, Kolman, risky, but good - Kovacs piked , Kovacs hocked again, Kovacs out of combination - doublesalto stretched into stand ... very close. Buit silver and bronze for the hosts at high bar - a great finish for the Germans!!
4. OLDHAM, Sam (GBR) (6.4) = 15,175
... counter , 1/2 ... Markelow, ... performs very clean, but not so difficult ...... perfect double-Tsukahara into perfect stand!
5. MOZNIK, Mario (CRO) (6.6) = 15,125
... Tkatschow stretched into Rybalko ... and the finish:
this is how to perform the double-Tsukahara into stand!
6. KUKSENKOV, Mykola (UKR) (6.7) = 14,450
... 1/2 twist, .. does an extra swing... standard-dismount good, but one point less in diffficulty
7. KULESZA, Roman (POL) (6.1) = 14,075
... counter Hecht, 1/2- twist into ellgripp - very rarely seen (!) ... then unfortunately fall(kneefall) at the double-Tsukahara stretched.
8. GONZALEZ, Fabian (ESP) (6.1) 13,225
... Kolman good, Kovacs hocked good, 1 1/2-twist into ellgrip ... after another 1 1/2-twist his left hand couldn't get the grip on the bar and he falls, long interruption ...
