At the end of a very long day the "Big Four" of artistic gymnastics were on top:
USA leads in front of Russia, China and Romania, followed by host Great Britain, Japan Italy and Canada. These eight teams are qualified for the team final!
Best of all-around is Russia's Victoria Komova (60,632), in front of three US-Girls - Raisman, Douglas, Wieber - Mustafina (RUS) and China's DENG, Linlin ...

As expected, in Italy and Australia provided a thrilling head-to-head race, which was ultimately decided by Australia:

In the individual all-aroundn, the world champion from 2006 (Aarhus), Vanessa FERRARI (57.932) in the meantime to the top.

Now comes the most important group of this afternoon, specially with the teams of USA (starting on vault) and Great Britain, but the Olympic host didn't start with a good rotation on the beam ...!
Rotation 1:
1. USA - 47.633; 2. CAN - 42.699; 3. AUS - 42.499; 4. ITA - 40.974
5. BRA - 40.765; 6. GBR - 39.832; 7. FRA - 39.632
Rotation 2:
The U.S. girls are all on the uneven bars with no significant errors: Jordyn Wieber of 14.833 (6.4), Kyla Ross increases to 14.866 (6.4). Gabrielle Dougles date with the most difficult exercise (6.6), giant high-stoop Tkachev, get 15.333!
Beth Tweddle (GBR), with huge cheers received on the floor, optically very good, well trained state, without significant error ... = 14.433 (5.8), which is to date the third-highest floor score.

- ROSS, Kyla - fantastically reliable starting exercise... = 15,075 (6.1)
- DOUGLES - strong exercise, reliable, superior, can be peeled off a few points ... = 15,266 (6.5)
- WIEBER - -she is acting very aggressively here and there, tiny uncertainties ... very high split jump with 1/4 turn long train acrobatics at the end with 11/2 twist ... = 14,700 (6.0)
- RAISMAN, Aly - legendary safety (!) in all acrobatic leaps,... at the end double somersault, piked ... = 15,100 (6.4)
- DUFOURNET, Youna (FRA) - ... gets on her special apparatus, uneven bars only = 14,500 (6.9)

United States on the floor
- Ross ... turns on the very high double twist, unfortunately, has to run a few steps off the mat ... must wait long standings ... = 13.766 (5.7)
- Wieber - must withstand the frenetic Tweddle Cheer ... good all-around exercise ... = 14.666 (6.0)
- Raisman - all U.S. girls have a very fast and strong technical and coordinative standing on top of things, shows by far the most difficult program on the ground = 15.325 (6.5) WORLD TOP (!)
GBR on the uneven bars:
- Pinches - presents = 13.700 (5.5) - TUNNEY - = 14.825 (6.4)
- Tweddle - such as gymnastics unleashes her difficult program, her incredible career is determined to crown here at the Olympics ... = 16.133 (7.0) the maximum value of the competition so far!
FRA at the balance beam... has some problems here ...
CAN on the uneven bars ... in the expected range ... but pulls over to France and Australia!
Really sure can feel so far only the first three teams to have reached the quarter-finals, for the following 5 teams are still important for potential candidates ... yet!
