The Olympic Gymnastics finals 2012 in London are divided in three parts for the first time:
* On Sunday, August 5 the men's  FLOOR and POMMEL HORSE finals (+ women's vault ) took place
On Floor the Chinese ZOU Kai repeated his Olympic victory from Beijing, leaving silver to World Champion and Olympic all-around gold medalist Kohei UCHIMURA and bronze for the Russian Denis ABLYAZIN.
On pommel horse specialist Krisztian BERKI of Hungary triumphed with the same total score like the Brit Louis SMITH, but 0.1 points more at the execution score gave him the Olympic gold ahead of the British gymnast.
The British audience appreciatively acknowledged. With the bronze medal for Max WHITLOCK the Olympic host won two medals at this final!
Arthur NABARETE ZANETTI (rings) for Brazil and YANG, Hak Seon (vault) for Korea are the very first Olympic champions for their countries in history!
On  PARALLEL BARS the Chinese Zhe FENG won gold ahead of Germany's Marcel NGUYEN and French Hamilton SABOT. The HIGH BAR final surely will be remebered as the best final in artistic gymnastics of the Olympic Games. 2. SMITH, Louis (GBR) - (7.0) = 16,066
... first at the qualifying (6.9 difficulty) left the earplugs until his exercise (!!), frenetic applause from the public... great flops with great execution... controlled exercise, seems even a bit slow, but clean, turns his handstand-dismount over the whole pommel horse... the audience stands up and wants the GOLD!!! - but he didn't get it (!) despite the highest difficulty score (7.0) the decision is for Berki because of his 0.1 points higher execution!!

3. WHITLOCK, Max (GBR) - (6.6) = 15,600

... very good, but not constantly stretched hip, not as virtuos as Berki ...
7. BELYAVSKIY, David (RUS)  - (6.3) = 14,733
... virtuos turn on one hand at the end of the pommel horse, the audience acknowledges, high and risky speed, as he is not as tall as Berki he seems a little less elegant ... then open legs at one element, deductions!
