First Artistic Competition at BLUME Festival

After TeamGym and the first International Tournament in Rhythmic Gymnastics Group, the organizers of the 53rd GYM Festival BLUME Gran Canaria 2013, first announced in an Internationl gymnastics tournament. Accepted the invitation were four different club representatives from Colmar (France, Elite, Juniors, Youth) of men and women, as well as Spanish representative in the Canary Islands, the other in the gym of the "Colegio San José Dominica" the island's capital, Las Palmas on the final day of the Festival met.


In the female competition were five different age categories. Only one French athlete started as senior, all other 16 starters (age 12 to 17) were at the category junior or in the FIG level 4 or 7. The gymnasts showed a fireworks of sumersaults, twists and difficult gymnastic jumps at the floor. The balance beam was the crucial apparatus, like often in gymnastic competitions: Many gymnasts had to leave it during their exercises. Nevertheless, the gymnasts of Club San José Dominicas (Gran Canaria), the Centro de Gimnasia (Lanzarote) and the team from France showed high-level performances at the four apparatus and fought for every tenth. Bonnie Godino Vlaeminck from Lanzarote won the most titles in the category (Level 4/7).
