| From the 1st European
Championships 1955 in Frankfurt/Main (Germany) on, the European Gymnastics
Federation UEG confered all together 536 medals in the men's competitions (without
juniors). No less fewer than 184 medals won the athletes of the Soviet Union from 1955 to 1990 - among them 90 Gold medals. On second place the gymnasts of the former GDR (43 medals), followed by Italy (28 medals/13 Gold). All together 25 nations won medals in the European Championships of men's competitions, at last Latvia 2000. Europameisterschaften 1955 in Frankfurt am Main hat die UEG im
Männerturnen 536 Medaillen vergeben (ohne Junioren). Allein 184 holte die UdSSR - davon 90 mal Gold - die 1990 in Lausanne zum letzten Mal teilnahm und noch lange die Medaillenbilanz anführen wird, gefolgt von der DDR (43 Medaillen - ebenfalls 1990 letzte Teilnahme) und von Italien mit 28 - davon 13 Goldmedaillen.
