Good grates for
the organisation - and for SPIETH
There is already one thing that can be confirmed to the Spanish
organisers of the WCh: It is impressive what they have managed
to organise in short time (the Spanish federation had taken the
WCh from the FIG not before June). "Excellent conditions",
head coach of DTB Livia Medilanski certified
in this context, "there is a good number of warm-up floors,
and everything else is running smoothly as well." The
arrangement of the fair hall 9 of the Juan Carlos exhibition
centre is spacious and appropriate to this event; |
 |
at the same time the
competition takes place in two halls especially
fitted out with two competition floors each, there is
space for 6,000 or 2,000 spectators, respectively, and
this afternoon there
were about two and a half thousand mainly
young people. Considering the lack of the time for preparation
this is more than considerable. The local atmosphere
is good, it is a great increase of image for both the
Spanish federation and the Olympic applicant Madrid (by
the way, in every
corner of the hall can be read: Madrid 2012). |
Therefore, one last time it should be
allowed to think about
a taking over by the DTB of these returned WCh facing the
various German efforts for the Olympic Games 2012...

SPIETH
- No. 1 !!
And to
come back to the competition floor once again: The
company SPIETH
Gymnastic from Esslingen has installed 18
(!!!) RG competition
floors in the halls of Madrid - and also supports
the WCh-coverage being the main sponsor of this internet-performance.
An extraordinary performance of quantity
and quality that is especially appreciated by the 130
gymnasts and their coaches.

Something is going
on...
Premiere of the newly formed FIG
pool of judges - by the way, excellently
separated, none of the ladies of the pool is allowed
to have contact to the delegation of her home federation
directly prior to the competitions. The new team started
with unusual low scores, but consequently for all gymnasts.
One thing can be heard everywhere after the first competition
day of these WCh:
|

Abruzzini in action !!
|
If the
scores will remain this way,
it is okay and the thing has already now been worthwhile.
As can be seen, the ranking of the best will hardly
be different, however, it seems that it is easier for
younger gymnasts to
come faster to the top due to realistically
judged performances. "So far, we are quite content,"
Birgit Guhr (Leipzig) said who belongs to the pool
as the only German
representative, "the standard of scores might
be unusual for some people, but it is fair, and in
total it happens
harmoniously." With
severe eye TC chief Egle Abruzzini (ITA)
watches over here
jurors - by the way, she expressed her plan to officially
say something about changes of the RG Code de Pointage
valid at present still during this WCh. |
One may look forward
to the next days in this respect, too.
