52. BLUME Gran Canaria Festival opened ....

... an acrobatic version of
Can Can with kneepads ...

With a bright and colorful show on this Sunday evening at the Jumbo shopping center holiday resort Maspalomas the 52nd BLUME Gran Canaria Festival 2012 was officially opened. 
Hundreds of spectators crowded the stands and formed an inspiring backdrop. Surrounded by a pre-Christmas bustle of the market, under a Christmas tree - but  with over 20 degrees Celsius - decorated guest bands from 10 different European countries in the mix with Canarian groups and folklore ensemble of Canarian main island a big show, which kicks off a series of events which, held at various island locations in the coming week will be ...

were also there, including a thrilling formation of Oldenburg (Germany), the attention with its futuristic costumes already in the crosswalk "Rendezvous of the Best' in Germany was, and they got a prompt invitation to "BLUME" festival ...

 

So the 30 'Oldenburg Zebras' danced at the 'Rendezvous of the best' first at home in Germany in the hearts of the audience: A small but select group of ten gymnasts awarded to an invitation to BLUME Gran Canaria Festival

After the opening of the 52nd BLUME Gran Canaria Festival 2012 by OC chief Jesus TELO (right) and by the mayor of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, Sen. Marco Aurelio, then ran including the zebras from TB Oldenburg back on top form!

Both a color as well as musical contrast offered the 12 - to 17-year-old girls from the Aerobics Club 'Alltau Las Huesas' from the Canary Telde community in contrast to the period costumes and folkloric sounds of something 'more mature' generation. For over half a century, this flower festival just leave traces: There is no event with annual unique character, but has long since become a gymnastic movement, which influenced not only lifelines on the island, but also internationally on all continents traces has .... just a unique festival!

Not only in a fast paced Can Can costume but after a quickly transformation as seductive devils' the Denish 'Dancing Stars' convinced with their dances and acrobatics
