The first weekend of the BLUME Festival featured the 11th edition of the BLUME CUP rhythmic gymnastics competition.
The Jesus Telo sports hall in the island's capital, Las Palmas – named after the founder of this festival – was bustling with a multitude of young talents from the Canary Islands. Everyone watched the guests from Germany with interest: once again, the SKC Tabea sports and culture club from Halle (Saxony-Anhalt) had made the traditional trip, with the young junior group attracting particular attention...:
With their 5-ball routine, the five Tabea girls celebrated their remarkable skills at a remarkable level. Halle's head coach Claudia Marx and her daughter Laure – former captain of a previous German national RG Group – presented the results of six years of intensive training for young talent at an astonishingly high level!

‘With this formation of the student performance class, we want to participate in the German Age Group Championships again next year after a few years' break,’ said the coach. This should also allow the Tabea girls to symbolise a ‘rebirth’ of sorts, as they intend to do in two weeks' time (on 13 December) with their Tabea-Show "DORNROESCHEN" in the Händel Hall in their hometown.
.
Mariia Kharchenko, a Tabea gymnast, also won the individual competition in her performance class today in Las Palmas. She has already participated in the BLUME Festival several times and has always delighted audiences on stage with her great agility and grace.

Mariia has now been living in Halle / GER with her mother for four years as a refugee from Ukraine and has found a home with Tabea. She speaks perfect German and attends the 5th grade at Halle's sports school.
Of course, this festival trip to the summery island for the BLUME Festival is another big highlight for her and all her club mates. We also have great respect for the decision to go on this trip, because with the big DORNRÖSCHEN (Sleeping Beauty) SHOW just a few days away, there is still a huge amount of preparation and work ahead for everyone involved!

Klara CANDO (ESP) |
The entire sporting world has long been aware that Spain has always been a country enthusiastic about gymnastics! This is particularly true of the Canary Islands, where there are a number of well-structured training centres where many ambitious young girls have no greater wish than to showcase their skills on the big stage. The fact that they can do this at an early age at this BLUME Festival is a great motivation for everyone! And when guests such as the Tabea girls from Germany add an international touch to the event each year, these performances can become unforgettable experiences and perhaps even lead to major international careers...?! Klara CANDO certainly sees it that way, who charmed the audience with her clubs at the 11th Blume Cup 2025 and won this apparatus in her age group.
