Premiere: Wheel Gymnastics World Championship title at the German Gymnastics Festival for the first time

The 14^th WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS of WHEEL GYMNASTICS - planned for the USA in summer 2020 and postponed for one year for corona reasons are now to take place on 2021  May 15, as part of the INTERNATIONAL GERMAN GYMNASTICS FESTIVAL in Leipzig. For the first time in the 160-year history of this gymnastics festival, World Cup titles will also be awarded. "We are very happy with the award. A world championship is also an absolute highlight in our packed program. It is great that we can offer all participants and visitors the unique opportunity to experience this great sport at the highest level, ”said OC Chief Kati Brenner.
Also the Junior Team World Cup celebrates its premiere: For the first time, the world's best young athletes will be identified in Leipzig, too. Here the German youth team competes against teams from the Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria and Israel. Israel qualified for a team World Cup for the first time.
