After the results of the qualifications at the 10th Aerobic World Championships in Ulm the international gymnastics federation FIG nannounced the countries which have qualified for the present for the World Games 2009 in Kaohsiung (Chinese Taipei). Eight places per category were nominated with regard to a Wild Card:

The 10th  F.I.G. WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS of AEROBIC GYMNASTICS, which is held from April 25 - 27 in Ulm, Germany, is part of the GYMmedia INTERNATIONAL coverage which is supported by the world-known labels *SPIETH Gymnastic (Esslingen/GER) and *BLEYER GmbH (Herford/GER).
These two companies are international partners of gymnastics and will present new products for top aerobics at these Worlds.

The 19-year-old Mira Keränen won with 19,650 points the Finnish Aerobic Open 2008 in Turku (Finland), which were also the Finish Championships, followed by Saija Saarinen (17,550) and Pauliina Raatikainen (17,000).

Mira Keränen and Leena Enbom will participate in the 10th Aerobic World-Championships in Ulm (Germany).

At the "3rd International Aerobic-Club-Meeting" in the gym of the Friedrich-Schiller- Grammar school in the city of Eisenberg, Thuringia, Martina Perlacova from Slovakia won in the categoriy  "Individual Women" with 18,90 points, curt before Czech Katerina Hortova from Brno (18,900) and her compatriot Zuzana Stavjanova from Zlin (17,600). Lena Bartschies from Hannover ranked fourth with 15,800 points.
>> A total of 28 clubs from 8 countries participated in this important international Aerobic-Event, which has been initiated and organised by Germany's extremely energetic Aerobic-federation ATV Eisenberg.

Bulgarian power for Aerobic Gymnastics ...
Bulgaria's capital city of Sofia inaugurated a new sport hall reserved entirely for the practice of Aerobic Gymnastics.

Henceforth known as the "Vasil Levski" National Academy of Sports, the structure was inaugurated by the President of the Republic of Bulgaria, Mr Georgi Parvanov, and the highest dignitaries in Bulgarian sport ....
