BLUME-Festival with a glittering Opening Gala opened ...!

An enthusiastic backdrop celebrated at Sunday evening in the comercial center of the tourist city Maspalomas of the Canary South the opening Gala of the 53rd Gym Festival "BLUME Gran Canaria 2013". In the area of the shopping center "Jumbo" came 15 groups from 7 different countries and the celebrated an emotional and dynamic climax.
Dances of several peoples and folklore of the Canary Islands, alternated with dancers from Lithuania, acrobatics from Denmark, rope skippers from Austria, Rock'n Roll from Bavaria and acrobats from the UK. The whole variety of Gymnastics disciplinen was presented in sections, which will then celebrate in the following days, more detail on many stages and places as well as in sports halls of this Island of eternal spring ...

Canarian Folklore was the prelude before the packed viewers ranks in the Jumbo area of Maspalomas.

For the first time guest in BLUME Festival here was the group "Ariadna" from St. Petersburg. 23 women of different ages - between 35 and 76 years old - had made the trip on the tourist island. At home, 50 ladies meet three times every week to train their programs. They feel in Russia as part of a movement "Aesthetic gymnastics for Women Health" ("Aesthetic Gymnastics for Women's Health"). The head coach of club called Galina TOMILENKO and she is, a "Master of Sports", came from the Ukraine and in the Sixties once she was as a child in a training group of the famed Kiev "Deryugina school", of its founder Albina Deryugina. Both in its content as well as their dance performance we saw that some of the ladies here in Gran Canaria also have an individual professional gymnastic history, as former rhythmic gymnasts ...:
