The 58th BLUME Festival 'Gran Canaria' 2018 begins ...

More than 1,050 foreign participants from 20 different countries are expected this week at the 58^th BLUME Festival Gran Canaria 2018. Together with more than 3,300 enthusiastic children, adolescents, adults and the constantly growing groups of active seniors and its special Canarian flair of the holiday and tourism island, this gymnastics festival has acquired a world-wide reputation for half a century.
Named after the Spanish folk hero of German descent, Joaquin BLUME, who tragically died in the late 1950's, embodies the best moments of active sportsmanship of all ages in modern societies. A festival of true European commonality - also again this year:

From November 24 to December 01 the gymnastics disciplines are booming at 33 gymnastics events in nine communities throughout the island of "eternal spring": in the capital Las Palmas, in Arucas, Agüimes, Ingenio, in Mogán, San Bartolomé de Tirajana, Santa Brígida, Santa Lucia de Tirajana and Telde and, of course, at the popular show evenings in the South, in the tourist metropolis of Maspalomas ...

Even before and during the year, the BLUME-Festival presented itself with its own presentation stands at the European festivals of the International Gymnastics Calendar, among others. So in Finland at the Suomi GYM Festival in Turku, in Germany, Denmark and Italy.
As a result, and as a result of the reputation gained over half a century, over 4,350 participants will join in the 58^th International Gymnastics Festival "BLUME - GRAN CANARIA", united in 158 national and 65 foreign groups! Of course first-rate enthusiastic young and older people from all over Gran Canaria are themselves integrated, in addition there are another 350 participants and 16 groups from the islands of the Canary Archipelago, Lanzarote, Tenerife and La Palma.
Here the Canarian organizers have understood - as an example for the whole of Europe - to integrate the contents of the festival into the teaching and training programs of the schools, the classes and the clubs throughout the year. So then their best on the BLUME stages may show their demonstrations with pride for the annual highlight!

In addition, the international character of the BLUME Festival is also documented this year by the participation of more than 1,050 guests from 20 countries, mainly from Germany, the Central European, Scandinavian and British countries!
All together will enjoy a gymnastic week of joyful encounters and full of experiences in Gran Canaria.
