The 6th International Iournament of Rhythmic Gymnastics BLUME GRAN CANARIA 2018 for groups this year saw guests from nine different countries at the start. This, of course, was again a great incentive and challenge for the dedicated rhythmic gymnastics centers of four Canary Islands to face up to this international competition, since the entire Spanish-speaking world is considered to be extremely gymnastic-minded.
This prompted the BLUME organizers, who were equally enthusiastic about rhythmic gymnastics, to significantly expand the competition program: In addition to the group competitions, this year also saw an individual competition! Not expected, however, with such a supply of a total of over 300 gymnasts ... !!
VI. International BLUME Tournament Rhythmic Gymnastics
- Las Palmas; 24. 11. 2018 -
♦ On the day of the event, the timetable, the evaluation and the logistical environment in Las Palmas' large sports hall literally got out of hand and turned into an exhausting mammoth event!
The BLUME organizers - acting with the best of intentions - regret this and decided to separate group competition and individual competitions for the next year's 7th tournament in 2019 and to have them held on two different days!
Despite all this, they hope that the guests of this year have also noticed a bit of the special Blume Festival flair and the dream island of Gran Canaria and will remain faithful to this still young RG tournament in the future ...!
♦ FESTIVAL- and Tournament Newcomers 2018
For the first time this year also newcomers to the festival were from Germany, so the aspiring junior center of TSG Söflingen under the guidance of their head coach and former German Top star, Magdalena BRZESKA.
For the past 5 years, the 26-time German champion, Olympic, World Cup and European Championship participant of the 90's has been responsible for Magdalena BRZESKA as head coach of the German talent club TSG Soeflingen, where she looks after promising young talents.
So for instance Niki GOCHEVA (age group 11, see photo, right) and Emilia WICKERT are some of her hopefuls and also the most impressive gymnasts also here on the island at the BLUME Festival!
In addition, Magdalena Brzeska also supervises and trains at home - together with trainer colleague Yevgenia CHERKASENKO - the young Rhythmic Gymnastics selection of Baden-Wuerttemberg. which won the German championship title as well as the Soefling group of the puöils group, whereby the base Soeflingen near Ulm sees itself above all as a partner base of the national group center in Fellbach-Schmiden.
The BLUME Festival premiere was also carried out by the youngest of the three centers for rhythmic gymnastics in the German Ccapital Berlin, at VfL Zehlendorf, which had only been in existence for four years, the gymnastics talent school "CORONA".

The Berlin girls from the German capital not only took part in the RG tournament, but also enjoyed their performances on the GALA stages of the BLUME festival. For example, at the Gala "Maspalomas Night" im Commerz-Zentrum Yumbo
