60th International BLUME FESTIVAL opens in Las Palmas

Actually, it is a grand European record that only an extraordinary pandemic could interrupt for two years:
Where else is there a broad sporting event of this international character, which has now opened for over six decades on the "Island of Eternal Spring", on Gran Canarao - with a press conference led by chief organiser Jesus TELO RODRIGUEZ, son of the family of the festival's founder, Jesus TELO NUÑEZ, who died a few years ago. He created this festival of hearts in memory of the 4-time European gymnastics champion Joaquin BLUME, who died in a plane crash in the 1950's.

BLUME-Chief-Organiser Jesus Telo (li.) opened the press conference and welcomed the top representatives of Canary Islands sport, Francisco Castellano Ortiz, the Minister of Sport of the regional government and President of the Sports Institute of Gran Canaria, as well as Aridany Romero Vega, the Councillor for Sport of the island's capital Las Palmas and President of the Board of Directors of the Municipal Institute of Sport.

The next few days will see the start of a colourful event in many island communities of Gran Canaria, with some spectacular highlights in the tourist centre of Maspalomas in the sunny south of the island, where most of the delegations have already arrived, including guests from Scandinavia, from Great Britain, from Italy and from Germany, all of whom have taken up residence in the festival hotel "BEVERLY PARK" in Playa del Inglès:

Alsi the management of this Tourist Hotel, with its sunny and palm-shaded swimming pools - less than 200 meters away from the island's sunny beach - has been part of this special  "BLUME family tribe" for decades, and reliably and caringly looks after the well-being of its international sporty guests. For this reason alone, it is worth a trip even outside the festival days ...!

International BLUME Competitions 2022
For several years now, the BLUME organisers have also included some international competitions in the programme:
The first highlight will be a four-country RG Tournament between hosts from Spain, Denmark, Italy and Germany on Saturday (26 November).
The gymnasts of the German Sport- und Kultur-Club SKC TaBeA Halle, whose programmes are eagerly awaited and who even want to perform parts of their upcoming show "INFINITY" here in Spain - in a way as a last test before the premiere on 17 December at home in Halle's Händelhaus - are possible favourites...!
We will report on this in our next daily report, on Saturday, 26 November.

... and for all that is to come, and what has to be clarified and organised operationally, the Spanish organisation team has at its disposal a proven and international staff of helpers and co-workers, without whom all this could not be managed:
