Named after Joaquin BLUME i Carreras, the Spanish national hero and four-time European gymnastics champion in Paris (1957) who died in a tragic plane crash, the organisers have invited guests to the 63rd BLUME FESTIVAL GRAN CANARIA .
On the show stage of the CC YUMBO in the heart of the tourist metropolis of Maspalomas, in the island's capital Las Palmas, and in numerous municipalities and towns on this magical island of ‘eternal spring’, the hosts offer spectacular performances by guests from many nations, as well as enthusiastic Canarian islanders, drawing on the diversity of gymnastics and gymnastic exercises.For over half a century, the Canarian festival hosts have cultivated excellent European friendships across all national borders.
63rd Festival BLUME GRAN CANARIA opened
The Councillor for Sport and Exercise of the Telde City Council in the south of the island of Gran Canaria, Mr. Cristhian Santana Caballero, as well as numerous representatives of public life and members of international delegations, attended the opening of the 63rd edition of the International Gymnastics Festival for ALL – BLUME GRAN CANARIA.

Representatives of the organisation, the Minister for Sport of the Island Government of Gran Canaria, Aridany Romero, and the councillors for
sport of the participating municipalities were present in the press room of the Gran Canaria Arena in Las Palmas, as this unique movement festival has long since spread across the entire island and now enjoys an outstanding reputation worldwide!
Also in attendance were the newly crowned bronze medallist at the Junior Trampoline World Championships in Pamplona, Izan Cabrera from Telde, and his coach David Taisma, as well as the representative of the International Gymnastics Federation, Bárbara Stengel (GER), numerous delegation representatives from various countries and the president of the Gymnastics Federation of the Island of Gran Canaria, Daisy Ojeda.
The Councillor for Sport and Physical Activity of the City of Telde, Cristhian Santana, said: ‘It is an honour to host one of Spain's most traditional events, which is of great importance for sport and the social and economic fabric of the community. Thanks to the great work of the clubs and their representatives, we are able to promote youth and senior sport.’
