That was the BLUME FESTIVAL 2025 – ‘magnificent’ for the 63rd time!

And once again, he had good reason to feel comfortable, surrounded by his guests and his celebration of joie de vivre:
<< The creator of the BLUME Festival, Jesus TELO RODRIGUEZ. After all, not only did he grow up with this idea from the very beginning, conceived by his father and festival founder Jesus TELO NUÑEZ (- died 2008), but since his death he has also been responsible for the creative development and further revitalisation of this special event.
Where else are tourist attractions, the magic of an Atlantic island and the sheer boundless variety of gymnastics disciplines for young and old – or rather, the young at heart – brought together so effectively, and that in the festival's seventh decade!

* Jesus TELO RODRIGUEZ -: "Yes, indeed, we are completely satisfied: once again, more than 500 festival guests in 35 groups from a total of 12 European countries accepted our invitation in 2025! Leading the way was Germany with 16 delegations, which traditionally represented the largest national group with 154 participants, followed by 115 Danes and 77 Italians. But just as important for us was the fact that this festival idea inspired several thousand children, young people and adults across the Canary Islands, and not just at the events and shows during the festival week.
In most educational institutions, many practise and design their own sporting and artistic programmes in lessons and classes throughout the year, and the best are then allowed to perform them on the BLUME stages at the festival. But above all, this would not be possible if the island government, the numerous schools, academic educational institutions, performance centres and clubs, and above all the local authorities and city councils had not provided effective and lasting support for our festival for decades! And we believe that this makes us a good example for other countries in the European Union.

♦ Since the first BLUME Festival in 1960 ...
more than 189,000 participants and guests have taken part,including 24,740 foreigners from 46 countries on four continents.
A total of 164,746 Spaniards, mainly from the Canary Islands, were registered!

What a record in terms of quantity,
quality and, above all, consistency!

♦ The top nations list of BLUME participants since 1960:
1. With 42 participations, the GERMANS lead with 6,500 Blume guests,
2. ahead of the much smaller nation of DENMARK with 5,863 participants
3. then GREAT BRITAIN with 5,319 Blume guests and
4. SWEDEN with 1,373 Blume participants.
