World Champion Tiia Piili selected to the Aerobic athlete of 2004

Tiia Piili, twice Aerobic world champion (FISAF), was selected to the 'Aerobic athlete of the year 2004' by the Finnish Sports Federation. The 25-year-old counts as that momentarily most successful representative of Sports Aerobics. She missed the victory in the total evaluation of all Finnish athletes tightly (124 points) behind the alpine skier Tanja Poutiaiselle (145 points).
Successes of Tiia Piili: To the victory of two FISAF World Championship (2001 in Agadir/Marokko und 2004 in Adelaide/Australien) she won also the last FISAF European Championships in Rotterdam (Netherlands). In addition she got herself in October in Helsinki in the 'SVoLI Games' (a new international Event with competitions in aesthetic group gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics and sport Aerobics) the victory. Moreover the five times Finnish Champion is member in the Finnish Olympic committee and represents the Aerobics in the non olympic kind of sports.
