13th Festival del Sol in Riccione / Italy

The 13^th Festival del Sole in Riccione / Italy, is the biggest international ”Gymnastics for all” event in the Mediterranean area.
For a whole week, the city of Riccione, the Italian "holiday capital" - turns into a huge stage where more than 4,000 athletes from around the world perform at their best.
Sunday, July 3^rd the festival, was opened and our GYMmedia correspondent and photographer Achim Schaefer sent us some impressions via video and pictures.
This "Festival del Sol" is one of the members of "European GYM Festivals" (EGF) and part of the worldwide network and communication sytem of general gymnastics, like Blume Gran Canaria or the Svabian GYM Festivals in Germany every year.  → ... join in to be a part of "E G F" !!

The 13th edition of the Festival del Sole has ended with an unforgettable Closing Ceremony where 30 among the best teams performed in front of a huge audience in Arena Roma.
* One of the highlight has been a special performance by Kokushikan Men’s RG team from Japan that won a standing ovation of everyone in the crowd.


The Italian organizers of this amazing festival thanks to all the 5,300 and more athletes that have participated in this record edition of the Festival del Sole, to all the people in Riccione that came to see and to cheer the athletes and to our fantastic staff that made all this possible.
