Promoting Inclusion & Peace Through Sport
Every year, the Gymnastics for All Colloquium brings together representatives from National Federations around the world, each contributing their unique cultural perspectives, community experiences, and approaches to development.
At its heart, the Colloquium promotes a culture of peace through sport. It encourages nations to collaborate rather than compete, to mentor and support one another, and to engage in open dialogue built on respect, diversity, and solidarity. These exchanges help build lasting relationships that transcend borders, strengthen trust, and foster a genuine sense of global community.
This year’s edition once again benefits from the patronage of UNESCO, marking the second consecutive year of support from the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization. This continued collaboration reflects a shared commitment to promoting inclusive access to sport, education through physical activity, and the positive social impact of movement. UNESCO’s patronage highlights the broader role of Gymnastics for All as a powerful tool for social inclusion, cultural exchange, and lifelong learning.
Hosted this year in Mexico City (MEX), the event will welcome participants from a wide range of regions and backgrounds, united by a common ambition: creating opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to experience gymnastics. Through presentations, workshops, and open discussions, the Colloquium provides a platform to share innovative programmes, practical experiences, and new ideas that can help gymnastics grow worldwide.
The discussions throughout the Colloquium are guided by the core philosophy of Gymnastics for All, expressed through the Five Fs: Fun, Fitness, Fundamentals, Friendship and Forever. These principles reflect the spirit of the discipline and guide many of the initiatives presented during the event, promoting movement, supporting physical wellbeing, developing essential skills, and strengthening connections between people. Above all, they highlight gymnastics as a lifelong activity.
By creating opportunities for countries to work toward a shared vision, a more active, healthier, and more harmonious world, the Gymnastics for All Colloquium demonstrates the transformative power of sport as a tool for peace, education, and sustainable development. In this way, the event stands as a natural partner to UNESCO’s mission, reinforcing the belief that peace is built when people come together to learn, move, and grow together.
