Report, Finale Ball:

>> Irina Tchachina as just crowned World Champion with verve and risk, however, she falls out of a pivot again and has to wait, now, what that can mean.

>> Tamara Erofeeva dressed in white celebrates with the ball again her highly appreciated pivots which appear even more attractive due to her body height; at the moment she is second.

Bronze medalist: Simona Peycheva

>> Jelena Tkatchenko with a sportive, attractive performance – but with her abilities and execution of the routines she is not good enough to be a medal contestant at these World Championships.

>> Laura Zacchilli – an Italian guest in the finals where usually always the same gymnasts only can be found: The Italian is more than just an enrichment to the final with her sportive- vivacious performance, especially because her performances are coined by originality.

>> Alina Kabaeva (photo left) with a convincing performance once again, especially because she can demonstrate all of her qualities of flexibility and variety of moves with the ball. She is in good mood and evidently willing to make the remaining gold medalsher own.

>> Brilliant performance by Simona Peycheva – she turns as if she has ice and not the floor under her feet. And she performs her difficult elements very exactly, so that the effect supported by the music is almost a doubled one.

>> Red-golden elegance – it is a pleasure to watch Anna Bessonova with the ball, and she comes well through her difficult program. She manages to show as much aesthetic as is possible under the present Code de Pointage. Unfortunately, at the end she just missed bronze.

Report, Final Clubs:
>> The drawing of lots had not been the best for her - Anna Bessonova had to do her routine just after finishing her last one. But, evidently, she can deal with this situation excellently – even this performance was extraordinarily well done. With clubs, too, she remains the elegant lady completely dressed in purple.

>> Once again Elisabeth Paissieva – with a loss of a club but with such a beautiful and charming routine that the audience is enthusiastic. Hopefully, in future there will be plenty of words that can be said about Elisabeth Paisseva, for now only this: Alina Kabaeva and the great Bulgarian Bianka Panova have been the last ones who catapulted themselves with so much vehemence to the top within one season. But even these two were one year older then the 14-year-old Elizabeth Paisseva is today.

>> The only appearance in the finals of Elena Ossiadovskaya (BLR). This, however, with plenty of temperament and good technique, even though the expression of the very great ones is missing.

>> It is again a very beautiful – and difficult – choreography presented by Irina Tchachina with clubs; she has to do some „rescue actions“ to catch the clubs, but she manages these situations professionally. Of course, she is leading at the moment.

>> Elena Tkatchenko with beautiful tricks with the clubs that can only be done by real masters – she throws one club with the other one, for instance – and a friendly expression.

>> The spectators are already euphorised when the original music of this routine starts – and Alina Kabaeva gives a last gala performance at these WCh. Even though there were some small insecurities, her performance remains spectacular and incomparable and the fifth WCh gold seems to be her own.

>> Lady in black - Tamara Erofeeva loves black, only the clubs are red, and she whirls them brilliantly through the air; elegant, with routine, technically excellent. This looks fine... Why does she still score some hundredths less than Tkatchenko...?

The „Miss Tournament“ of the Berlin World Cup Simona Peycheva finishes the World Championships in Madrid, and she does this with great class – it belongs to the exceptional appearances in RG how she has won profile within just one season and in this respect she was a worthy finish – and rewarded with her third bronze medal.

Prix de l’Elegance goes to Irina Tchachina
The company Longines (Switzerland) presented its Prix de l’Elegance to Irina Tchachina. The jury, among its jurors the RG star Elena Vitrichenko (Ukraine), gave this award to the 19- year-old Russian. For the first time this award was presented at the World Championships in Berlin in 1999, then the Russian Natalia Lipkovskaya was awarded.
