The International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) regrets to inform that the 16th AEROBIC Gymnastics World Championships will not be held from May 14 - 16 in Baku, Azerbaijan, as planned. Also the 9th World Age Group Competitions cannot take place as planned either. The COVID-19 pandemic poses too much uncertainty about the possibility of holding these events in the best conditions. The FIG is currently in discussion with the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation to try to find a suitable option to re-schedule...

* f i g --: Egyptian Aerobic gymnasts show continental control at African Championships: With multiple gold medals apiece, Mai Elsayed, Khaled Ahmed and Omar Elmraghy led an Egyptian sweep of the titles in Aerobic Gymnastics at the 15th African Championships on 12-16 March in Sharm El Sheikh (EGY).

Between 1997 and 2003, Russia's Vladislav OKSNER, with his unfortunately already deceased wife Tatjana SOLOWJEWA, was the world's dominant mix pair in the aerobics discipline: They won everything there was to win at the time: 4x WCh gold and two World Games victories: The FIG has now rightly appointed these exceptional athlete in aerobic history to one of the ambassadors for the forthcoming 16th WCh AEROBIC  in Baku in mid-May.

The Trampoline and Aerobic gymnastics competition kicked off today in the Minsk Arena.
In Aerobic Gymnastics, eight mixed pairs battled for the medals.

* In Aerobics, European Champions Fanni Mazacs and Daniel Bali (HUN) finished off the podium, with a few mistakes costing them dearly. Tatyana Konakova and Grigori Skihkhaleev took the lead early on.
