Jesus TELO, met members of staff and supervisors from various countries in the Czech town of Most.
Just a few days before the opening of the
World Gymnaestrada the presentation of the Spanish organizers of the world famous "
BLUME Festival Gran Canaria" in the Austrian town of Dornbirn was dicussed, as well as the preparation of further interesting events and the festival itself...

First hand information on Blume at Dornbirn
During the event week of the 13th World Gymnaestrada 2007 in Dornbirn, Austria from July 8th to 13th the organizing committee will as usual present itself at a stand at the exhibition centre.
The UEG will organize a press conference on July 12th, 11.30 pm, at the exhibition centre.
Central topics will be:
- the 1st Golden Age GYM Festival 2008 in Maspalomas, Gran Canaria/ESP (16th - 21st November 2008)
(... here invitations to a first informatory event, to take place from November 23rd to 25th 2007 in Maspalomas, will be issued to the 47 member associations of the UEG)
- the 6th EUROGYM in Albi (FRA), from July 12th to 18th 2008
Workshops at the "International Gymnastics Festival 50+" 2007
The former representative of the German Gymnastics Association for the programme 'Seniors and 50+', Bärbel Schöttler from Germany, will once again take responsibility for the contents and the organization of the many interesting workshops which provide an attractive opportunity to meet and exchange views internationally with groups and clubs from many countries.
A further topic of discussion was the '1st Golden Age Gym Festival' which has meanwhile been officially accepted by the European Gymnastics Union UEG for the year 2008, which is to become a regular event in the year after the World Gymnaestrada in Gran Canaria, after the trial run in 2005 proved successful.
Further topics discussed at Most were
- the application of Las Palmas/Maspalomas - together with the Spanish gymnastics association RFEG - to host the 7th TeamGym-Competition for 2008 (26th to 30th November; Gent/BEL has also applied) and for
- the 1st Junior European Championships TeamGym 2009 (25th - 29th November).
International Contacts
The Blume organizers also met representatives of the Czech Sports Association, representatives of 'Sokol' and of the happy sports association 'Sports for All' in Most.
All these organizers will send groups or clubs to the 47th Blume Festival or the 'International Gymnastics Festival 50+' this year.
