International tournament in Tartu (EST): 
Russian groups were the best

 Internationales Turnier Tartu (EST): 
Russland siegt mit beiden Gruppen 
In this important year of the qualification for 2004 Olympic Games the Russian groups (elite and female juniors) won the first international tournament for RG groups in Tartu (EST). Also the again-formed German national team, which came behind Hungary on rank 3, gave a very good performance.

German group		   Den ersten internationalen Vergleich der RSG-Gruppen im wichtigen Jahr der Olympia-Qualifikation gewannen in Tartu (EST) die russischen Gruppen (Elite und Juniorinnen) mit klarem Vorsprung. Einen überzeugenden Einstand gab auch die neuformierte deutsche Nationalmannschaft, die hinter Ungarn auf Rang 3 kam.

UEG-Trainerinnenkurs beendet
Friday evening in Bremen (Germany) was finished the second International course of  the European Gymnastics Union UEG for coaches of rhythmic gymnastics. In instruction of the host DTB the wellknown international judge and coach from Leipzig Birgit GUHR was responsible for organisation.

Birgit Guhr (DTB/GER)		   Am Freitagabend ging am Leistungsstützpunkt Bremen ein internationaler Trainerinnen-Kurs der Europäischen Turnunion zu Ende.
Für die Organisation zeichnete im Auftrag des Gastgebers DTB die Leipziger Trainer-Expertin und internationale Kampfrichterin Birgit GUHR verantwortlich. Insgesamt nahmen 64 Trainerinnen aus 18 Nationen daran teil.

Decision of Court of Arbitration for Sport

Sportgerichtshof entscheidet im Dopingfall 
According to information from the FIG Headquarters in Moutier, Switzerland, on January 29, 2003, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has confirmed the FIG sanctions to Russian Rhythmic Gymnastics stars Alina Kabaeva and Irina Tchachina, following their positive anti-doping test in Brisbane, in 2001.
So both gymnasts are suspended for the rest of the sanction, from January 23, 2003 to April 08, 2003 included...

CAS decision Kabaeva / Tchachina		   In einer Pressemeldung informiert der Turnweltverband FIG über die Entscheidung des Sportgerichtshofes Lausanne im Dopingfall von Alina Kabajewa und Irina Tschaschtschina. Die FIG-Entscheidung wurde bestätigt. Beide Gymnastinnen bleiben bis einschließlich 8. April gesperrt und sind demzufolge nicht für die Europameisterschaften in Riesa (4.-6.April) startberechtigt.

Serie 2003 mit acht Turnieren
To the past 7 organizers of the 2003 Grand Prix series with Belarus (17./19.Oktober) the 8th was added. Further applications for the attractive series were present, which were not accepted however in the interest of the gymnasts (too many tournaments altogether).

The tournament of Berlin take part in this series again, which presents itself with new name: The Berlin Masters of Rhythmic Gymnastics takes place from 27 to 29 June 2003 in Berlin.

the best 2002 with hoop and ball		  
Zu den bisherigen 7 Ausrichtern der Grand Prix Serie 2003 ist mit Weißrussland (17./19.Oktober) ein achter hinzugekommen. Es lagen weitere Bewerbungen für die attraktive Serie vor, die aber im Interesse der Gymnastinnen (zu viele Wettkämpfe insgesamt) nicht angenommen wurden.

Zur Serie gehört wiederum das Turnier in Berlin, das sich mit neuem Namen präsentiert: Das Berlin Masters of Rhythmic Gymnastics findet vom 27. bis 29. Juni 2003 statt.

Japan - best Nation

Japanischer Doppelsieg  
After the victory in team competition of rhythmic gymnastics of the Australian Olympic Youth Festival in Sydney the Japanese were also the best in individual. Mai HIDAKA won with a score of  76,625 points. On second came  Kaori USUMANO  (75,90).  Rebecca TERZIAN from  USA was third with 75,697 points.

- Sydney -		   Nach dem Sieg im Mannschaftswettkampf der Rhythmischen Sportgymnastik bei den Australischen Olympischen Jugendfestival gab es auch einen japanischen Doppelsieg im Mehrkampf:
Mai HIDAKA gewann mit 76,625 vor Kaori USUMANO  mit 75,90 Punkten. Platz drei belegte Rebecca TERZIAN  aus den USA mit 75,697

Changes in German Group

 Wattenscheid:
Bewegung in der deutschen Gruppe 
The three times German vice-champion of juniors last year Sandra Machate retired from the German national group and goes back from Wattenscheid to Schmieden.
Also Maria Wolf from Halle finished her carreer in the German national group, but the reigning German champion of all-around Annika Rejek is a new member of the German national group of rhythmic gymnastics, now.
Sandra Machate retired		   Die dreifache Deutsche Vize-Juniorenmeisterin 2002, Sandra Machate (TSV Schmiden), hat die Nationalgruppe in Wattenscheid verlassen und ihre RSG-Karriere beendet, ebenso Maria Wolf aus Halle aus gesundheitlichen Gründen.
Neu in der Gruppe ist dagegen die amtierende Deutsche Mehrkampf- Meisterin Annika Rejek von Bayer 04 Leverkusen.

Countdouwn for European Champs

Countdouwn für deutsche Juniorinnen 
The European Championships of rhythmic gymnastics 2003 will be held in the "City of Sports" Riesa, Germany, fom April 1st to 6th.
Everywhere the national groups are working at their new programs and performances.
Also the new German group of juniors, who presented the new and difficult exercise (five hoops) at some show events, like the "Fireworks of Gymnastics Art" this week in Halle, Saxonia-Anhalt.

German National Group of Juniors		   Für die Anfang April im sächsischen Riesa stattfindenden Europameisterschaften hat der Countdown begonnen.
Ein Vierteljahr davor probt die deutsche Juniorinnen-National-Gruppe bei öffentlichen Auftritten, wie zuletzt beim Feuerwerk der Turnkunst, bereits ihre Wettkampfübung.
Das Ziel ist ein Finalplatz zur JEM.

GYMmedia stellt die deutschen Gymnastinnen vor.

Happy Birthday Rosi Napp

 Rosemarie Napp zum 60. 

Rosemarie Napp, former president of  Rhythmic Gymnastics technical committee of  German Gymnastics Federation (DTB) and until 1996  member of the TC Rhythmic Gymnastics of  the European Gymnastics Federation (UEG) celebrates today in Hanover their 60. Birthday. She was engaged many years long for the DTB as international RG judge. The vice-president of the Gymnastics Federation of Lower Saxony (NTB) is also the president of the TuS Ricklingen Hanover, where she is active as a trainer also. In her job as a teacher for sport and geography Rosi Napp obtained a lot of  pupils the love for the sport. Congratulations in the name of the entire Gymnastics Family!
Rosemarie Napp		  
Die langjährige Bundesfachwartin für Rhythmische Sportgymnastik im Deutschen Turner-Bund und bis 1996 TK-Mitglied RSG der UEG, Rosemarie Napp, feiert heute in Hannover ihren 60. Geburtstag. Viele Jahre lang war sie für den DTB als internationale Kampfrichterin der RSG im Einsatz.
Die Vizepräsidentin für Leistungssport des Niedersächsischen Turnerbundes (NTB) ist auch Vereinsvorsitzende des TuS Ricklingen Hannover, wo sie auch als Übungsleiterin tätig ist. In ihrem Beruf als  Lehrerin für Sport und Geographie hat Rosi Napp ganzen Schülergenerationen die Liebe zum Sport vermittelt.
Herzlichen Glückwunsch im Namen der gesamten Gymnastics-Family!
