Price for GYMmedia-Photographer "Photo of the Year"	15 Dec 2002		Preisgekrönter GYMmedia-Fotograf Foto des Jahres in Sachsen-Anhalt
The photo with the title "Weightless" from GYMmedia photographer Dirk Zimmermann was honoured as "sport photo of the Year" at the yearly "Ball of Sports" in the German country Saxonia- Anhalt". The photo shows the Ukrainian gymnast Natalya Godunko at the Worldcup final 2002 in Stuttgart. At last year already Zimmermann also had received the price for a Rhythmic Gymnastics photo, at that time with Simona Peycheva at the 2001 World Championships in Madrid.	The price-crowned photo - Natalya Godunko (UKR)		Das Foto mit dem Titel "Schwerelos" von GYMmedia-Fotograf Dirk Zimmermann wurde als "Sportfoto des Jahres" in Sachsen-Anhalt ausgezeichnet. Es zeigt die ukrainische Gymnastin Natalia Godunko beim Weltcup- Finale 2002 in Stuttgart. Die Preisverleihung fand beim "Ball des Sports des Landes Sachsen-Anhalt" am 13.12.2002 in Halle statt. Schon im Vorjahr hatte Zimmermann den Preis für ein RSG-Foto - damals mit Simona Peitschewa - erhalten.

Ursula Born, the chairman of the international Grand Prix Committee and of the German RG Comittee got the highest German honor in her home town St. Wendel yesterday. The UEG has definitively entrusted the 20th European RG Championships (individuals) to the Ukrainian capital Kiev in June 2004. On weekend, the world best artistic and rhythmic gymnasts met in Stuttgart (GER) for the World Cup finals 2002. The 20th "DTB-Pokal" tournament is the host for the final competitions of World Cup Series in Artistic Gymnastics (women and men) and Rhythmic Gymnastics.

>> Triple winner of the rhythmic gymnastics decisions was the Ukrainian Anna Bessonova. She won rope, hoop and also clubs.
Winner with ball was Simona Peycheva from Bulgaria.

The FIG imformed in her press release: Moutier, At the close of the hearing of November 13, 2002, the CAS (Court of Arbitration for Sports in Lausanne) informed the parties that its verdict, as well as the reasons behind its decision, will be made public at a later date.			Wie die FIG informiert, hat das Internationale Sportgericht in Lausanne (CAS) nach der Anhörung vom 13. November den Beteiligten mitgeteilt, dass der Urteilsspruch in den Dopingfällen Kabajewa / Tschaschina und die Gründe für die Entscheidung zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt veröffentlicht werden.

To the fourth time Alina Kabaeva from Russia won the all-around title at the European Championships in Granada Spain. Tamara Yerofeeva from Ukrain got the silver dedal and also the bronze went to Ukraine, to Anna Bessonova, because the Bulgarian Simona Peycheva lost the hoop in the last second of her exercise..... >> Yesterday Russia won the gold medal in team competition with 214,700. Simona Peychewa (BUL) verlor in der letzten Sekunde ihrer Reifenübung die Bronzemedaille an Anna Bessonowa (UKR). From 8th to 10th November the 18th European Championships of Rhythmic Gymnastics take place in Granada (ESP): 95 gymnasts from 35 nations take part in the competitions. >> Today: Decision A Groups On Saturday, the team competition will take place, on Sunday the decision of all around competition will fall. The favourites are the Russian team and title holder Alina Kabaeva. For the first time no German gymnasts take part in an European Championship.	European Championships Granada 2002		Vom 08. bis 10. November 2002 finden in Granada (ESP) die 18. Europameisterschaften in der Rhythmischen Sportgymnastik statt. Insgesamt gehen 95 Gymnastinnen aus 35 Nationen in die Wettkämpfe. >> HEUTE: Team-Entscheidung A-Gruppe Die Entscheidungen fallen im Mannschaftskampf (Samstag) und im Einzelmehrkampf (Sonntag). The FIG informed about the doping affaire of Anna Bessonova: The gymnaste ukrainienne Anna Bessonova was condemned by her characteristic Fédération. The FIG did not appeal. The French Government also. The gymnaste achieved its sorrow. It in addition took part in World Championships of groups in New Orleans in July 2002. Anna Bessonova is consequently authorized to take part in the Championships of Europe of Granada.	Anna Bessonova (UKR)		Einige deutsche Medien meldeten heute eine zweimonatige Sperre bis Dezember für die ukrainische Gymnastin Anna Bessonowa aufgrund eines Dopingvergehens. Dazu teilt der Internationale Turnerbund FIG mit, dass der Ukrainische Verband nach dem Feststellen von Norephedrine beim Grand Prix Turnier in Thiais (FRA) im März selbst eine zweimonatige Sperre als Sanktion an Bessonowa verhängt hatte. Die FIG leitete kein eigenes Verfahren ein, die französische Regierung ebenfalls nicht. Die Sperre hat Bessonowa bereits verbüßt. Sie kann demzufolge auch bei den kommenden Europameisterschaften im November in Granada (ESP) starten.

Grand Prix Turnier in Holon

Without the Russian star Irina Tchachina became Alina Kabaeva (RUS) the best gymnast of the 7th Grand Prix tournament of 2002 series, which was held in Holon (ISR) on last weekend. On 2nd place came World Champion Tamara Yerofeeva (UKR), on third place was Simona Peycheva (BUL).
On Sunday, Kabaeva won three of four finals, Tamara Yerofeeva was the best with hoop. Altogether 17 gymnasts from 8 countries took part in this tournament.

Olga Belova (RUS) won the international City Cup in Brno (CZE) before Zaneta Cernohlavkova (CZE) and Lisa Inguildeeva (GER).
The team of Russia won the Flanders International Rhythmic Cup in Gent (BEL). 2nd place got Israel, 3rd was Schmiden (GER).

Am vergangenen Wochenende fand in Holon (ISR) das siebte Grand Prix Turnier der Serie 2002 statt.
Alina Kabajewa (RUS) war erneut die dominierende Gymnastin; sie gewann drei von vier Finals. Weltmeisterin Tamara Jerofejewa (UKR) siegte mit dem Reifen und führt weiter die GYMmedia Weltrangliste an.
In Abwesenheit von Irina Tschaschina hatte Alina Kabajewa den Mehrkampf vor Jerofejewa und Simona Peitschewa (BUL) gewonnen. Insgesamt waren 17 Gymnastinnen aus acht Ländern am Start.
Deutsche Gymnastinnen waren nicht beteiligt.

Mannschafts-Weltmeisterin Olga Belowa (RUS) gewann den Internationalen City Cup in Brno (CZE). Zweite wurde Zaneta Cernohlavkova (CZE), Dritte Lisa Inguildejewa (GER).
Den Team-Wettkampf Flanders International Rhythmic Cup in Ghent (BEL) gewann Russland vor Israel und dem Team aus Schmiden (GER).

The former German star of rhythmic gymnastics, Magdalena Brzeska (24) pronounced, that she will finish her marriage-tie with the professional soccer star Peter Peschel from Bochum. Magda and her two childs goe back to her hometown Schmiden. Actual she is working for a gymnastics and figure -scating show together with the former German scater Daniel Weiss. >> more coming soon	Verflossenes Eheglück...?		Knapp eineinhalb Jahre nach ihrer Hochzeit scheint das Eheglück von Ex-Gymnastikstar Magdalena Brzeska (24) mit dem zur Zeit arbeitslosen Ex-Bochumer Profi-Fußballer Peter Peschel zu Ende zu gehen. Magdalena zog mit ihren beiden Kindern aus der gemeinsamen Wohnung aus und kehrte zurück nach Schmiden. Derzeit befindet sie sich gerade auf der Fahrt nach München. On 2nd place came Simona Peycheva (BUL, 109,525), on third place was Zarina Gizikova (RUS). On Sunday, Kabaeva won three of four finals, Anna Bessonova (UKR) was the best with hoop. Grand Prix Deventer Russian gymnasts won all competitions	06 Oct 2002		Grand Prix Deventer: Kompletter Erfolg für russische Gymnastinnen
The Russian star Irina Tchachina (111,975) was the best of all around competition (qualification) of the 5th Grand Prix tournament of 2002 series, which was held in Deventer on weekend. On third place came the Ukrainian Anna Bessonova (109,700). Zarina Gizikova won the finals with hoop and clubs, Tchachina was the best with rope, Kabaeva won with ball. >> Detailed Results The 4th tournament was the Grand Prix tournament of Berlin in September. Rest of season without Germans The next Grand Prix tournaments like the European Championships in Granada will take place without German gymnasts. The German gymnastics federation concentrates its forces on the preparation of the national group for the World Championships 2003 and the Olympic Games 2004. The best German gymnast, Olga Lukjanov (Wattenscheid) has changed to the national group, Isabell Piepiorra (Schmiden) did the same this week. Zarina Gizikova gewann die Finals mit Reifen und Keulen, Tschaschina mit Seil, Kabajewa mit Ball. >> Detaillierte Resultate Herbstsaison ohne deutsche Gymnastinnen Dieses Turnier in Deventer, die folgenden Grand Prix, wie auch die EM in Granada werden ohne deutsche Beteiligung stattfinden. Der Deutsche Turner-Bund konzentriert alle Kräfte auf die Gruppe, um sich 2003 für die Olympischen Spiele zu qualifizieren.
