Mamun dominated World Cup in Kazan

Russia's Margarita MAMUN avenged team mate Yana Kudryavtseva for her defeat at June's European Games in Baku with a superb all-around victory at the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup in Kazan as the hosts triumphed in every event. Mamun, aged 19, finished on a score of 75.550 after the roop, club, ball and ribbon events to narrowly edge out reigning world champion Yana Kudryavtseva on 75.250 and make ammends for her silver medal behind the 17-year-old in the Azerbaijani capital. Aleksandra Soldatova took bronze on 74.300 to ensure a Russian clean sweep, as Belarus' Baku 2015 bronze medallist Melitina Staniouta proved best of the rest in fourth. It sets the stage perfectly for another dual at next month's World Championships in Stuttgart between the two teenagers, with both looking to take the bragging rights ahead of next summer's Olympic Games.
Also in the groups competions Russia's team landed the total triumph: Gold in all-round, but also in the two apparatus finals ...
