A total of 336 gymnasts representing 37 nations will be chasing 15 gold medals at the 34th FIG Trampoline Gymnastics World Championships which run 28 November - 1 December and also serve as a Tokyo 2020 test event.
There will be the added incentive for the individual Trampoline specialists of up to 16 Olympic qualification berths on offer.

WCh 2019 - TRAMPOLINE  FINALS

* fig-reports --:
♦♦ M E N  -- : China’s Gao Lei proved once again he is the master of the international stage as he became the first man in history to win four Individual Trampoline World titles in succession with the 2019 Championships coming to an end amid a flurry of record-breaking performances and yet more smiles from Japan’s double gold medallist Hikaru Mori.
Gao Lei
is so good that even his closest rival admitted to enjoying watching him twist and turn his way to yet another Individual Trampoline Gymnastics World Championship gold medal in Tokyo. “He is so good at controlling exactly where he wants to be on the trampoline,” said Ivan Litvinovich (BLR) who posted a score of 61.705 just before the defending champion took to the stage. “I felt like I had won.” The Belarusian almost had but thanks to a higher difficulty score and almost as clean an execution Gao grabbed his fourth successive gold by a margin of 0.185 points.“When I climb on a trampoline I feel very calm, I didn’t used to but now I feel very confident,” the record-breaker said. His attention now turns towards Tokyo 2020 and having secured a spot for China, the 27-year-old is determined to follow teammate Dong Dong – a bronze medallist here – and win Olympic gold. In addition to China, Japan, France, Russia and Belarus claimed Tokyo 2020 qualification spots.

♦♦ W O M E N -- : Hikaru Mori says she will not stop smiling until after Tokyo 2020 and who can blame her. On the day she secured Japan a spot in women’s Trampoline at her home Olympic Games next year, the 20 year old won her second gold medal of the Championships and sent a packed house utterly wild. “Yesterday I heard a lot of noise but there were way more fans today. I could hear people saying it was going to be OK before I started and so I believed them,” Mori said, that smile still firmly in place. The Ariake Gymnastic Centre crowd were right to have faith in their compatriot. Mori looked at ease from the moment she stepped on to the trampoline with a beautifully smooth display delivering victory by 0.635 points. Her coach Akiko Maruyama subsequently admitted that Mori, who is now the 2018 Synchro, 2019 Team and 2019 Individual World champion, is outdoing even her projections. “We have a five-year plan, from when she was 16 to the Tokyo Olympics, but the goal here was for a medal, not two golds,” Maruyama laughed.
Mori’s teammate Chisato Doihata finished second with double defending Olympic champion Rosie MacLennan (CAN) third. Alongside Japan and Canada, China, Russia, Great Britain and France also booked their spots for Tokyo 2020.
