Third Trampoline World Cup in Japan: Chinese Dominance

* fig-press ---: China's Gao Lei, the reigning World Champion, and compatriot Zhu Xueying flipped to first place in men’s and women’s Trampoline in Maebashi (JPN), the penultimate stage of the 2017/18 World Cup circuit, where China also claimed the men’s Synchronised title with its fearsome pair Dong Dong / Tu Xiao.
With three months to go before World Championships in St Petersburg (RUS), the Maebashi World Cup attracted many top athletes, including the reigning Olympic champion, Belarus’ Uladzislau Hancharou, who took silver with Aleh Rabtsau in Synchronised Trampoline. Their teammates Valiantsina Bahamolava & Anhelina Khatsian grabbed the women’s title.

Maebashi was the penultimate stage of the 2017-2018 FIG Trampoline World Cup series, following legs in April in Brescia (ITA) and in July in Arosa (SUI), and last year’s events in Baku (AZE), Minsk (BLR), Loule (POR) and Valladolid (ESP).
The series concludes in 2018 October in Loulé.
