Swedish Trampoline Open 2004
With the Olympic Games in Athens only some four months away, Swedish Trampoline Open, the 4th World Cup competition in the ongoing FIG Trampoline and Tumbling World Cup Series will take place on April 16-17th in Upplands Väsby, just in the North of Stockholm.
Yesterday was the last day for the federations to submit their provisional entries and it promises to be one of the biggest World Cup events ever in trampoline and tumbling: So far 26 countries have entered 162 gymnasts (118 in trampoline and 44 in tumbling) and some 100+ officials. ..
... the first World cup event in Sweden!
Swedish Trampoline Open is organised by the Swedish Gymnastics Federation, Upplands Väsby GK and FIG and is the first ever World Cup competition in Sweden. The competition will most certainly be both exiting and nerve wrecking, considering the closeness to the Olympic Games and the fact that many federations have yet to nominate their gymnasts for Athens.
Participating countries:
Australia, Belarus, Belgium, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Georgia, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Kazakhstan, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Slovakia, South Africa, Sweden, USA, Uzbekistan, Israel, Japan, Switzerland, Ukraine.
