The 17th edition of the International Flower-Cup took place in Aalsmeer, Netherlands and 400 sportspeople from 17 countries registered. In the men's elite class Henrik Stehlik (TGJ Salzgitter), who came third at the Athens Olympic games, won easily with a total of 38,9 points. The following athletes came second, third and fourth, all achieving 37,3 points: James Higgins (GBR), Ji Wallace (AUS), third at the Sydney Olympics and Marty Myers (CAN). The ranking was decided according to the tie-break rule.
The ladies' competition was won by the two English sportswomen, Jaime Moore (35,6 p.) ahead of Lauren Allen (34,5 p.) and Dutch Mirjam Steinebach, who achieved 33,7 points.
In the junior competitions also a large number of participants competed for the coveted trophies.
Walter Pinto (POL) and Cara Jamieson (GBR) achieved the highest scores in the final with 36,1 and 33,7 points respectively. A fortnight before the beginning of the new trampolin World-Cup-Series, which begins in Lake Placid and will then go on to Quebéc it was a welcome opportunity for some of the top athletes to present their freesyle programme under competition conditions.
