Indo Pacific Trampoline Gymnastics Championships 2006

Organised by the South African Gymnastics Federation together with the City of Tswane and the University of Pretoria, the event is major for the discipline in this area, isolated as it is from traditional European centres where the discipline reigns.
Europe abounds in key areas where Gymnastics and Trampoline have been developing for years. Athletes have countless opportunities to prepare for the calendar's large-scale events: world championships, World Games, Olympic Games. That's why the Indo Pacific Championships are such a great opportunity for non-European gymnasts to compete at a higher level and prepare for top events...
The Indo Pacific Championships are held biennially, alternating with the discipline's world championships. The following countries will be participating: Argentina, Australia, Botswana, Brazil, Canada, China, Japan, Mexico, Namibia, New Zealand, South Africa, USA and Qatar.
The competition format equally includes events for young gymnasts of the following age group categories: 10 - 12, 13 - 14, 15 - 16, 17 +, with 18 being the minimum age requirement for participation in the Olympic Games.
