I. EUROPEAN GAMES 2015 - RHYTHMIC GYMNASTICS

The Olympic discipline of Rhythmic Gymnastics of the Ist European Games 2015 in Baku competed together with the non-Olympic acrobatic gymnastics.
In Rhythmic gymnastics 99 female athletes are represented (21 individual and 13 groups), from 17 to 21 June, at the National Gymnastics Arena
The 21 individual gymnasts (max. 2 per country) competed during qualification.
This competition also serves as all-around final: the gymnast with the highest combined score of all 4 apparatus, wins the all-around title. With each apparatus the top 6 gymnasts (max. 1 per country) advance to the apparatus finals. All 4 apparatus pieces will be alternated in competition interspersed with Acrobatic women’s group in the first 2 rotations and mixed pairs in the last 2 rotations. Each judging panel will judge 2 apparatuses.

♦♦ GROUPS All-around
Russia takes the all-around title for Rhythmic groups! (Wednesday, June 17)
1. Russia topped the standing with 5 ribbons and was 4th with 2 hoops and 3 pairs of clubs, to win the all-around title in Rhythmic Gymnastics.
2. Israel (silver) and
3. Belarus (bronze) join them on the medal podium.
This session also served as qualification to Sunday’s event finals. The top 6 groups are qualified.

* Qualified for 5 ribbons final:
1. Russia 18.000;  2. Spain 17.350; 3. Israel 17.350;
4. Ukraine 17.050; 5. Italy 17.000; 6.Germany 16.950

* Qualified to 2 hoops / 3 clubs event final:
1. Belarus 17.900; 2. Israel 17.700; 3. Bulgaria 17.500
4. Russia 17.300; 5. Ukraine 17.100; 6. Italy 17.000

* Groups Finals (Sunday, June 21)
Because the All-around champion, the Russian Group failed with the combined exercise Belarus won gold, but Russia was also the best with the 5-ribbon final.
