Last Trampolin World Cups before Olympic Games 45th N I S S E N C U P in Switzerland

Nissen Cup and than Albacete ...

After the this weekend's 45 anniversary of the traditional NISSEN CUP in Arosa, Switzerland the Spanisch city of Albacete (ESP) will be hosting the next weeks World Cup stage in Trampoline Gymnastics from June 26 to 29, the last before the Olympiv competions in Beijing, China:
45. NISSEN CUP 2008:
Without the reigning European Champions the Chinese athletes dominated the fourth world cup event of the Olympic season in Arosa, Sitzerland before the todays final event:
LU, Chun Long and HUANG, Shanshan won each the Olympic individual trampoline discipline at the today's finals
The best in qualification, the Russian Dmitri Ushakov came on second place, HE, Wenna won the silver medal on women's side ....

The men's qualication (47 participants, but without the Ukrainian European Champion Juri Nikitin aus der Ukraine)  the Russian Dimitri Ushakov won with ascore of 72,2 points followed by the two Chineses Lu Chunlong (72,1) and Dong Dong (71,8 ),
... but at the final the Chinese LU, Chun Long - winner of the world cup in Osaka already, beat the winner of Wroclaw Ushakov and the best from the third world cup in Publier (May) Dong, Dong:

On women's side  with 36 gymnasts - also without the reigning European Champion and Russian trampoline legend Anna Karavaeva and also without the Canadian world cup winner Caren Cockburn -   a Chinese trio is on top after the qualification round, leads by the favorite Huang, Shanshan (66,80) in front of He, Wenna (65,60) and teammate Zhong, Xingping (65,60). Olympic Champion Anna Dogonadze missed the final on 11th place, only...

At the Saturday's final event the two Chineses celebrated a double success: HUANG, Shan Shan in front of HE, Wenna...:

Altogether 19 pairs, representing 14 nations, take part at the men's synchro events.
On the top after qualification is the European Champion and Ukrainian pair Nikolai Kazak / Viacheslav Model in front of Merino/Ganchino from Portugal and Ruzakow/Ushakow from Russia.
The Swiss pair and brothers Markus and Martin Brack were happy about successfully qualifying on 7th rank ...and on eightth place at the end.
Winner wer Kazak / Model (BLR) in front of Mering/Ganchinho (POR) and the Japanese Sotomura/Ueyama on third:

At the Women's event  only 9 pairs from seven different countries came to Arosa.
The Ukrainian European champions from Odense, Domchevska/Movchan failed and ranked on ninth and last place only and gave up before the final....;
also the bronze medallists from Odense, the Britisch Driscoll / Moore crashed, but the second to last, the eights place means a succussfully final qualification...!
Winner at the end wer the US pair Alaina HERBERT / Erin BLANCHARD, followed by Velichko / Voronina (RUS) and PETRENIA / MIRONOVA (BLR):

45. Nissen-Cup 2008
The Canadian juniors won the two titles on girl's side, Russia and Denmark on boy's side, and the Swiss host were happy about two silver medals in synchro discipline...:

This oldest international Trampolin event, which is held each second year, is from 2004 on now to the 3rd time also a World Cup event ....
