The men's qulification rounds of the 44th 2013 World Gymnastics Championships which begun on Monday ends after the 4th subdivision on Tuesday.
Best of all in all-around was the incredible title holder and Olympic champion Kohei UCHIMURA who leads with fantastic sgor of 91,924 points. Behind the second placed Samuel MIKULAK (USA; 89,532) follow three more Asian atletes from Japan an China: Ryohei KATO, LIN, Chaopan and ZHOU, Shixiong.
* Men's Qualification rounds 1 - 4 (Monday + Tuesday)
A first all-around high-water mark, already in the morning group of the first qualifying day, put the 20-year-old American Samuel Mikulak who ever scratched with 89.532 points at the 90-point mark. Korea's PARK, Minsoo came with 85.531 as runner-up in the first group not remotely ran. After the 2 Group of the first day then cracked - all behind the Americans Mikulak - three other gymnasts the 88'er-border points:
ZHOU, Shixiong (CHN) - 88.898, SASAKI JUNIOR, Sergio (BRA) - 88.699, then HAMBUECHEN, Fabian (GER) - 88,064.e
Bhind them, in the area of 86 points, follow with Max Whitlock (GBR) Likhovitzky Andrei (BLR) and Felipe Gonzales (ESP) three other gymnasts on the places 5 to 7
... all were eagerly waiting for "King Kohei", the Japanese Olympic gold medalist and three-times world champion from London, Rotterdam and Tokyo, Kohei UCHIMURA, and he turned in an incredible shape represents: Despite the new regulations - including the devaluation of all jumps by 1 point - sat the gifted esthete with 91.924 (!) points at the top of the all-around standings.
Again, it seems even with his fourth worlds nobody can hold a candle to him ....!!
2nd Qualification Day: Subdivision 4:
As expected, the second Japanese Ryohei Kato in the last group came on rank 3 with 89.747 and is another contender for medals or even title. Russia's best gymnast David Beliavsky is initially only 14 (86.065), but the Swiss men bring two athletes (Hegi, Braegger) into the field of the 24 all-around finalists.
On Thursday (October 3) the competition is capable of going from zero. The cards are shuffled there again!

* * At the Floor the youngest gymnast of these championships, the 17-year-old Japanese Kenzo SHIRAI achieved, even in the first subdivision the first and only 16 points-rating of the day and, after a sensational exercise with 16,233 points and the highest values of all difficulty 7.4 (!), surpassing Samuel Mikulak (USA) by more than 1.2 points!!
Also top favorite Kohei Uchimura (15,333) came not over at his young compatriotand and he has been ranked 2!
Behind them with 15,266 points in Germany's Fabian HAMBUECHEN came on 3rd Position (15,266), followed by the British Daniel Purvis (15.266) ...
The German Matthias Fahrig was missing with his new practice at the end of tenth point (15,000) to reach the floor Final.
* On pommel horse seem to Robert Seligman (CRO) and Matvey Petrov (RUS) to both set up already with 15,500 points onto the final.
This should also Max WHITLOCK after the second subdivision, also like in the third group Italians Alberto Busnari (15,633) and a well-launched Daniel Corran Barron from Mexico (15,600) had taken the lead against Seligmann. Best Swiss Oliver Hegi (14,766), and best German Andreas Toba (14,400), but they missed a final rank.
* On the rings leads at first the strong Russian Alexander Balandin - 4th placed at London Olympic final and the European Champion 2012 - but then cam in 3rs group the strong specialist from United States, B. Wynn with the peak value of 15,700. Netherlands powerman Lambertus van Gelder has been ranked 3rd (15,566) in front of the French Ait Said (15,500), Germany's Hambuechen ranked 14th ...
* At the vaulting table "Pegases" proved Japan's youngster Kenzo SHIRAI par with Romanian Marius Berbecar - both with 14,916 after the first group at the top, surpassed by the second subdivision from the formal exploding Brazilian Sergio SASAKI JUNIOR (14,987).
In the third group Korea's Yang Hak Seon (15,299) took over the lead, followed by Oleg Werniayev (15,041) Nor is Germany's Matthias FAHRIG Matthias (GER) 14,841 is in seventh position ...
* At the parallel bar put a device specialist of "older generation", Vasileios Tsolakidis the first maximum value (15,866). Christopher Jursch from Cottbus reached here on his World Cup debut decent 14,900 points Hambuechen before him with 15,000 points, but that was not enough for both to reach the final!
Even veteran Petkovsek Mitja (SLO) was (6 for group 2) displaced with 15,366 points Rank 10:

* At the high bar Samuel Mikulak (USA) was the first athlet, who reached more than 15 points: 15,366, then to former world champion (2007) Fabian Hambuechen came with 15,633 and clearly surpassed him, and thus should have its place in the finals for sure with a brilliant performance from the renown high bar virtuoso: 15,633 points with 7.1 difficulty:
Excited all were waiting for the Dutchman Epke ZONDERLAND, Olympic gold medallist, but he has never been aworld champion yet ...!

The Olympic all-around champion Kohei UCHIMURA devices the highest score of the day. With 0.2 less difficulty but with the highest E-score (8.758) of the competition, he referred to the Zonderland and Hambüchen on places - but between these three top athletes are just 2 tenths of a point! ...
