On March, 17th, begin the 'Pre Olympics Competitions' of the gymnastics disciplines artistic, rhythmic gymnastics and trampoline.
From Wednesday on to March 24 top athletes will test the local conditions, the athmosphere and the Olympic apparatuses in the Olympic city of Athens.

The annual French International began Saturday in Lyon, with the qualifying competition for Sunday's event finals.
The ten winners of the Sunday's finals in the 'Palais des Sports' in Lyon came from ten different countries:

One week after the Worlsd Cup in Cottbus (GER), the world top gymnasts took the direction of the 'Palais des Sports de Gerland' in Lyon (FRA) for the 13th French International on Saturday and Sunday.
This FIG Artistic World Cup event seems ferocious according to the participation : 91 men and 45 women from 39 countries will battle in the qualifications on Saturday (2 - 8 p.m. local time).

Alexei Bondarenko - sixth last year - topped Anton Golutsutskov and Georgy Grebenkov at the 2004 all-around competition of the Russian National Championships, held Wednesday in the Olympiski Complex of Moscow.
Anna Pavlova won the all-around title of the women category. In absence of the reigning world and Russian champion Svetlana Khorkina (broken bone in her foot this week) Pavlova topped Natalia Ziganshina to take the title.
